DLSS - SR Quality or DlAA?
Which is the higher quality setting? I'm running a high end rig--- 13900k - RTX 4090 - 32 mb DDR5 (think I should add more RAM - seriously?) . Describe my rig not out of ego--- it's relevant to the question and as I work as med provider in an ER/Trauma Unit. Computer games are my wonderful way of putting sucking chest wounds back to fairly-land until the next day (they de-stress me!!!).

Thanks so much my friends!

RTX 4090 as well. I used DLAA since it doesn't affect your native resolution, just antialiasing. But I always use Reshade on my games to remove the weird color tint most games have, as well as add some type of sharpen (Lumensharpen, Adaptive Sharpen, Clarity)...whichever I think looks the best for a particular game. Good luck and have fun. I really enjoyed Banishers...more than I thought I would.

Good to hear mate! Yeah, I'm enjoying Banishers early on and it's exceeding expectations. Got to let the narrative roll or I think you're missing the movie so to speak. Thanks. Are the sharpen apps "Lumensharpen" "Adaptive Sharpen, Carity") third party apps to fiddle with the sharpening variable for a given game?

In any case, thanks much Lemonjello!

Google ReShade and it should be the first entry listed. It's a 3rd party app that injects shaders and filters into your games. Most are a minor FPS hit, some can be larger. Most of the sharpen types are a minor FPS hit and worth it. There's lots of other shaders and filters to use, depending on what you're trying to accomplish. Check YouTube for videos on how to install it. It's not difficult.

Older thread so my answer might be irrelevant now, but I have a similar rig to yours and tried a number of configurations (e.g. 4k Native with TAA, 4k DLAA, 4k DLSS etc) before landing on 6k HD (5760x3240) with DLSS Quality as the best middle ground for looks-performance (note: you have to go into Nvidia control panel and set DSR Factors to 2.25x DL in the Manage 3d Settings Menu to have 5760x3240 as a resolution option in game, after changing to that you can set DLSS to quality).

Havent tried reshade so that might give you a better end result, but for the options in game the above tended to work the best for me.
