much larger projects, nosediving like this, have had pretty bad outcomes for the devs
the fact that there has still been neither a hotifx, nor a patch (i do not care about some steam DB entries) is very worring
i hope they survive this
Only a small and noisy minority care about woke and it makes no difference to sales.
However I agree the combat lets it down. There is too much of it and its overly fussy (too many moves, awkward button combos) and overly simple (not enough variety in encounters or enemies. )
I still like the game a lot, but it should had a lot less wandering in the woods fighting the same enemies.
that's problem the 2nd major problem, apart from the rease-window and lack of advertisement/buzz.
the gameplay just ain't there (yet). as a whole combat, loot, progression is a step foreward, but it still got a long way to go.
I would also like to see a Vampyr follow-up. It may be part of their plans. At least, that was my guess after reading the game's Brotherhood of Saint Paul's Stole writings and getting the American Vampyr achievement.
Both loot and skills are both very well done imo. Skills make a big difference to gameplay instead of just making some numbers go up. Loot is rare and different enough that each item matters and pretty much everything is usable depending on your build.
Loot need a confrontation with a loot of same level, instead of confront one of, for example, third level with one of five level, we need to see the "base" stats for take a good choice.
Guess you mean 'comparison' and yes you are right. It would be good to have a comparison to currently equipped gear in shops too without having to jump to your inventory.
Yes, sorry i'm italian, what is best is a comparison with their base stats first
