How is it dumb? Playable character is a 4th grader.

Even if a there were a time skip that ages the main character up to allow for romance, you will be locked to one specific character and one specific child anyway do to the Doraemon canon.

Just because every other games in the franchise did something, doesn't mean that subsequent entries must also follow suit.
As far as anything thing else goes I disagree with you and I don't have to agree with you.
Really? Is that what you got from my response?
Your only reason to why it is stupid to not have children in the game is because all of the other games allow you to do so. The developers specifically chose to do it this way. Just because every other games in the series did something, does not mean every game after needs to follow suit.
This game is not just a Story of Seasons game, it is also a Doraemon game, therefore, the game incorporate aspects of both franchises. The playable character in both of these Doreamon Story of Seasons game is a 4th grader, and therefore, cannot get married. Even if there were a timeskip in the game to allow for marriage, you will only be able to marry one specific character and only be able to have a son due to the canon of the Doraemon franchise. The playable character is also a predetermined character and not one that you create yourself
Again, I will reiterate my main point:
The playable character here, and in the previous game is a 4th grader, and cannot get married. Even if a timeskip were to be utilized to include marriage, you will only be able to get married to one character and have one specific child. The devs were fans of the Doraemon franchise and chose to make the game this way. Here is the interview explaining how the game came to be:

If you have a problem with the gameplay loop, take it up with them. Also, how would you have done it then? I really want to see how you would explain how the playable 4th grader character being able to get married.
People simply disagreed with your earlier statement.
The discussion is done and over with, deal with it.
Who are all these other people then? Why haven't any of them ever shown up and voiced their disagreement? So far, the only one who is disagreeing is you.
