The save system is a bit ugly. The save files for Tor Eternum are stored at
C:\Users\YOURNAME\AppData\Local\IsolatedStorage\X\Y\Z\AssemFiles\PlayerDoc.txt
X, Y, Z are all just a series of random letters, but there should only be one folder in each of these locations. You just need to dig into each of them until you find the one that has PlayerDoc.txt with the most recent file modified date.
Take one of the backup PlayerDoc#.txt's with a modified date from before when you lost your data and replace the PlayerDoc.txt. This will replace your save file from that time.
If you lose your save data, make sure not to play the game too much or else it will replace all of the backups with the new save data. There are 50 backup save files to hopefully give people time to realize that their save data is lost and find this post before they play too much and destroy their backups.
It's a bit of a janky solution, but until I have time to make a nice UI for it, this will make sure nobody permanently loses their save file and can't do anything to fix it.
