Bug: After skipping the end credits, the game is no longer playable

I'm playing on Xbox, but I have the following problem: I finished the game and couldn't skip the end credits (As I have read, however, it is not possible to skip on the PC either). That's why I quit the game after 4 minutes via the Xbox menu.

When I started it again the next day, there was probably no save point just before the end credits. Now I'm at the beginning of the last level, but without the Ark, which provides a shield against the poisonous fog, which leads to death after using up my healing potions. I am revived again at the start of the level in the poisonous fog without the allied Ark to protect me.

I have no manual save points. Do I have to start the game from the beginning?

PS: Please don't tell me that “skipping” the end credits doesn't honor the developers and that it's my own fault, unfortunately that doesn't help me either ;)

Do you not have time or the ability to use the Loomshard on your potion wheel to return to camp before you die?

Unfortunately, it is a point of no return until you have defeated the boss and seen the end credits, so neither Loomshard nor the rope with which you were lowered into the abyss beforehand can be used.

My only suggestion would be to try wemod then just so you don't have to start completely over.

yeah devs making unskippable credits is so absurd. same bug happened to me, i reloaded and it went to credits again. muted and put in another window. zzz

I don't really care all that much about the credits being unskippable, but for me my game crashed (kinda my fault, but still), and now I've got a broken save and my most recent manual save was like 6 hours of gameplay prior. :(

Sorry to hear this happened to you - it is a known issue and we can confirm that we have a fix for it coming this week.

We won't be enabling an option to skip credits entirely in a future patch, but we will add a "speed up" option which should help :)
