From what i've watched so far this is standard high fantasy game with more focus on the exploration/adventure of the world itself and no hint of the "politics" your referring to.

In short no, it looks like a regular game anyone could enjoy.

I'm copying what devs wrote in some other topic. "Players will be embarking on the journey as Brynn, the protagonist you see in the trailer. She's supported by a vibrant, ensemble cast, and while there are some ways to customize your appearance through armor sets, ultimately this is her journey.

This is very much a game where you're playing through story through the eyes of the protagonist, so if you're looking for classic RPG mechanics where you can really "create your own character," this game may not be for you - and that's okay! I think it's hilarious that people cry about being gender locked to female on a singleplayer game but proceed to make the big boobas fembots on any game that offers a choice to begin with. Not saying it's everyone but in my experience it is the same people that complain about it. Especially third person perspective games.
