Death penality is an insult with this level of jank controls
Over all honestly this game is enjoyable, but god does it need some quality of life improvements. Some little things, like the indicator to shortcut home doesn't do pathing, but as the crow flies, and will lead you dead into a wall. The map can't zoom, there are no quest indicators (that I've seen)

But my god, I mean, the combat (the mini bosses, the trash mobs are just annoying) can be fun, but it is made hard early on by the limited ability to use your skills and the seemingly pointless efforts of the bow. I can live with that right but then to loose all your resources (but the few items you can pick), and have to start over at the waygate on the map then hump my tail all the way back across the map.

It isn't fun, its just annoying and makes it boring, and makes the other what would be acceptable jank just so frustrating.

Who thought, you know what players love, tiny inventories, a non-recoverable death drop penalty, and no way to deposit your goods without completely starting the map over?

I am often at a lose when I see a game that seemingly has so much polish, have such design choices.

Please give us options to remove death penalties and such. I get it that some like playing that way, but I don't. Cant stand it. I just want to enjoy the game and explore without dying and losing items and having to run back to camp every 15 mins.

I've died once.
Please don't nerf the game into boredom.
The penalty means you have to be more cautious and adds a level of risk / reward.

Well keep playing and when you die to the Janky controls that several threads have mentioned perhaps you'll see it differently.

Make it optional, you want to punish yourself for some masochistic reason great, but why tell others how to play.
I haven't found the controls janky at all, but I'm playing on PS5. Not sure what it's like with mouse/keyboard. The only time I died so far was accidentally rolling off a cliff when dodging. because I wasn't paying attention to where I was.

Yea trash mobs sorta detract from exploring a bit because they're really annoying especially the invisible lizards.

The biggest thing that sorta bugs me is I feel in so many scenarios I'm ticking health whether I'm getting peppered from enemies, or I'm freezing stuff and my own magic is killing me, or I'm blazing a path of fire and it's burning me... I just find that annoying.

I also think 2H swords feel bad, mine is like 113 dmg which I'm sure can be a lot higher but the switch from sword and board doesn't really feel great with 2H damage. The damage doesn't make up for the speed, there are enemies I beat on with 5 6 7 swings and they just stood there.

Also I wish we had a little indicator or description of where we found our mats, I need stelknit and I have no idea where it is

I think the maps are gorgeous BTW, an absolutely gorgeous world you guys built here. I have to echo the others I'm sorta finding tho it to be a deterrent exploring when there's only one way back to the city. Now maybe I haven't found more or maybe there's a few more but traversing is reminding me of recently prince of persia lost crown and the lack of fast travel to where it becomes a bit of a chore constantly back traveling around, especially with how death works you collect this stuff and if you die it's a bit rough.

But it's also because I thjnk 2H weaponry needs a bump, I have moments I'm swarmed and between the lack of damage and then the slow animations, it's making me want to explore less because I feel fairly weak.

But the world you guys built is really awesome, we need some QoL changes.
