Why LGBTQ tag??
I don't understand this tag. Why contribute to polarizing ideology? If you have lgbtq themes or whatever in your game.......cool! Great! Whatever!! Moving on! People who won't play your game because it doesn't have a certain tag are just as bigoted as the people who won't play the game because it DOES have a specific tag. Why not just let the game be what it is and let people buy it based off whether it appeals to them or not. Even the "female protagonist" tag. Yeah....we can see that....Thanks captain obvious! Everything is so political. Just don't get it....

You do understand that right now you are the one making it political right?

No, it was already. He's just criticizing it.

No. Pointing out that it's political doesn't MAKE it political.

It seems LGBTQ tag is just a sales point, period. When I see this behaviour I just click the ignore button.

It's A "user-defined tag" as in the company didn't set it the users did

Top tags= user created. Dev tags are lower ones.

Do you have anything to say about the actual game, or do you just want to complain about Steam's store tags existing?

If solely the latter, I think you meant to post it here: https://steamcommunity.com/discussions/

Irrelevant clutter post.

Yeah, that's fair, but I assume someone is moderating the tags, right? LOL If someone marks "multiplayer" on a game that isn't MP, surely that doesn't get applied....??

Assuming there is no intervention from the devs, that raises the even bigger question of why the tag exists in the first place.

Thanks Karen..... noted....
You mean in the "Popular user-defined tags for this product" section that has nothing to do with the devs/publisher?

Sure. Because the devs have no vested interest in people misrepresenting their games?

No idea if that tag actually applies here, but you'll find lots of games on Steam with tags that have nothing to do with the actual game. Many users employ the tag system just for trolling and if devs had any say in that system, I doubt we'd see that happening as often as it does. You can have whatever stance you want on LGBTQ+ content, but don't hold a user-driven system against the devs, please.

Thats a pretty broad claim that might actually be true, but I still struggle to buy into the idea that the devs are just innocent bystanders completely held at the mercy of the users. But maybe I'm wrong.
