Players will be embarking on the journey as Brynn, the protagonist you see in the trailer. She's supported by a vibrant, ensemble cast, and while there are some ways to customize your appearance through armor sets, ultimately this is her journey.
This is very much a game where you're playing through story through the eyes of the protagonist, so if you're looking for classic RPG mechanics where you can really "create your own character," this game may not be for you - and that's okay! We hope you still give it a try and let us know what you think. A lot of love went into both the story and the combat, so we hope there's something that will click with you! 😊💛
We want to remind everyone to please engage with one another respectfully and constructively. If you come across any comments that you believe violate our guidelines, please consider reporting them to the moderators, so that we can handle them appropriately.
Thanks so much for your understanding in maintaining a welcoming and supportive community, and hope you have a great day! 💛
I've started a similar discussion.

I also believe allowing players to choose the main character's gender (male/female) would make this game much more appealing.
I agree with Doomerang. The main character female trope has become quite ordinary these days.
I strongly encourage you to revisit this idea. Creating a new 3D model and hiring a male voice actor might attract a lot more players.
Hello hello 👋
While we're definitely way too far in development to change the protagonist, story, thousands of recorded voice lines, and more, but we really appreciate you sharing your feedback with us and letting us know what you think!
As a studio, we wanted to create a game together with the characters, story, and world that we had always wanted to play, though we know that this won't resonate with all players - and that's okay! We hope that one day, you may consider giving the game a try to see all the love and passion that went into it: from the gameplay systems right down to the story.
In terms of future protagonists / character creation tools - you never know for future games we might make. In any case, hope you have a great weekend and thanks again for leaving us your thoughts! 😊
Allow me to give you a suggestion.
Create a kickstarter to add the male protagonist in the game. Make a nice video presentation, calculate the price required and go for it,
I know some people in YouTube and X that can help spread the word.
I make a bet with you it will succeed.
There is only two things that this female charcter need, the most import is that she is badass, the second, less important, is that she look like a woman.
Have I made acceptions? Yes. But would I prefer to play as a bad ass male? Yes.
Saying "the majority of men" is just a made up statistic. You have no idea, and neither do I.
What I do know, is that there are a LOT of men who are tired of playing as a woman in video games and just want an option to pick at the start of a game.
I think the way some players "ask" for the option is rude or just cringe, but nevertheless, there are plenty of players asking.
Because you dislike something does not mean that everyone's like you. You're part of the minority. It's not even hard to see, just look at any kind of RPG, JRPG, MMO, Gacha game, or Hero Shooter, and you'll see that most people play with female character.
That's pure BS, most men are straight, thus most men like looking at female character.
Again, you're a minority, most men dont have these issue because most people dont self insert themself when they play videogame.
