Need troubleshooting help.
I am new to Marble World. I just bought it and downloaded it (by pressing, "Play" in Steam). When I try to go into a world that i just created (but have not had the opportunity to build), it comes up with window that has a red exclamation point displayed on it. Then, it stops and says MarbleWorld.exe has stopped working. "A problem caused the program to stop working correctly..." Then, my only selection is to close the program.

I've rebooted my computer once and I tried uninstalling and reinstalling twice and it hasn't helped. I don't know what to do next or why it isn't working.

Any help would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Heya! Thats very unfortunate to hear. All crashes are automatically logged so I should be able to see the issue. Are your drivers updated? And do you have the minimum specs at least?

I'm currently prioritizing some QoL features before i get to the crashes (its an extremely rare occasion i've seen so far) Could you in the meantime send over the crashlogs (as a .zip or so) to vectorinteractiveofficial@gmail.com?

You can find the crashlogs at C:\Users\(your name)\AppData\Local\Temp\Vector Interactive\Marble World

Can you tell me what drivers to update or where I can find a list of them?

And the same for minimum specs? I don't know what the min specs are.

I found report.wer (15kb) and will send that over, but I'm not sure if that is what you're looking for.

Sorry I can't help you with that, but you can google the CPU/GPU brand you have, they provide installers / updaters for their drivers.

The minimum specs can be found on the store page of the game: https://store.steampowered.com/app/1491340/Marble_World/

Those are roughly the minimum you need, but since the game can run on windows 7 aswell i think its a driver related issue. Im betting on that.

Also that report.wer file isn't the right one unfortunately. It's like 3 files that are in a folder with the name crash + the date/time of occurrence.

Please take a look at specs to see if you see a shortcoming... Everything seems to match with system recommendations, but I don't know about the graphics and Direct X portions.

-We have Windows 10, 64-bit
1607 (10.0.14393)
-We have Intel Core i5-4570 @3.2GHz
-We have 8 GB RAM
-We have AMD Radeon HD 7700 Series, so I don't know if that is sufficient.
(Recommended is Graphics: nVidia GTX 980 4GB or better)
-Not sure if I need to download DirectX: Version 11... when I tried to, it says I have to pay $29.00 for WinRAR. Does that sound right?
-Storage: we have 1TB

We went to the Intel Driver & Support Assistant and it says "no supported driver or software updates are available for your system" as it detected all system hardware and software.

We really appreciate your help and sorry for my ignorance.

Googling further, it looks like maybe the AMD HD7700 is not as good as the nVidia GTX 980... and maybe we need to do that WinRAR purchase to get Direct X? Thanks in advance.

Well at least you should be able to launch the game and enter a world with those specs & have some marbles rolling. Im guessing its the drivers not being updated in this case.

And no, you don't need Winrar for DirectX, don't fall for that :)

Im not exactly sure why the game would crash when entering a world, but this is my first guess. I hope this will resolve the issues! And no worries, if you have any more questions or so feel free to post!

I had the same problem... I had just removed some old programs I wasn't using and realised that I was missing a thing called VCRUNTIME140.dll and MSVCP140.dll

I went through this discussion and updating my drivers hadn't worked. This was the only thing that helped... So I hope it works for you!:steamthumbsup:
