As someone who has purchased hero pilots I 100% adore these guys even considering adding them to rotation.
Without paying players, this game may not last for a few months.
Fairness shouldn't be built on sacrificing the interests of some players, right? Players want to get legendary drivers for free, but shouldn't paying players get full-level benefits as soon as they purchase?
Thanks for your approval, bro
People pay 5-10$ to watch a 2-5 hour movie, but nobody is charging anything more than 1-100$ for games offering more than 1000 hours of entertainment and playtime .
100 hours would be like 100$ worth of movies.... yet people pay 100$ and less for certain games, if not even F2P, and the companies and devs aren't making necessary profits for 1000's+ of hours worth of entertainment and game time .
They need to remove P2W aspects or cosmetic garbage being paid for real money in exchange for recieving payments based on playtime and not "progression"
I would have bought this for 40 bucks and future dlcs.
you used to buy a whole game. that was for future playtime included. it worked well. devs made money and gamers were happy gaming.
So maybe 30k so on. Better than not doing it. As for the dude above me I know as blocked user. He whines literally in every game and every forum he pops on. It's quite remarkable how much someone can whine so much and yet have so little content. He's kinda a night terror demon just pops up anywhere fun might be and wrecks it all.
As for paying players. I'm pretty sure they'll be fine. The less restrictive they are to the freebies the more i tend to open my wallet because nothing is worse than just murdering someone hella good but only because you had 58 bucks to spend.
At the same, dudes just need to release paint colors. All the damn time. I'd pay like 100 warp for a neon pink paint...Or wraps or really those full decals like the wave one in the pass. Also I plan to keep paying for the pass as I play.
I guess I just value stuff. It's a terrible habit I know. I'm working on myself.
yeah, I am taking a break from warbots until the devs decide it's not balanced.
There is no such thing as a successful game with p2w mechanics. And it was repeatedly proven that the overwhelming majority of players won't spend a dime on cosmetics if said money can be instead spent on mechanical advantages, such as extremely hard to obtain parts (khrmsiren) or pilots that can be actually built towards a sensible set of talents. It forces the monetization into a whale-centric system. A game with a whale-centric monetization has only one viable business plan: squeeze the whales as much as you can, then abandon the game once the whales are bored. That's the only remaining play for the devs if the people who pay keep spending money on parts and pilots, and not on cosmetics.
Meanwile effectively every single successful f2p game that is not an anime gacha maintains it's revenue through cosmetics, which people are very likely to buy if they simply enjoy the game and don't feel like they are being punished for not paying. Not to mention that adding new cosmetics is orders of magnitude easier for the devs compared to adding new p2w elements, and it frees them from the problem of balancing enjoyable gameplay with FOMO economic incentives, which no p2w game has ever accomplished successfly.
All in all, if you argue that the game absolutely needs such hot dumster juice solutions as buildable pilots gated behind cash payments, then I'd argue that your understanding of the game is bad, your knowledge of f2p game economies is bad, and you are an unpleasant person, the kind that can improve any sort of community only by leaving it and never returning.
My secret shame of a decade lol.
