Battlepass max level 40
So I've been playing barely as you can see by my play hours. Total casual.
But I've reached 40 on the pass and I thought it odd only 40 levels to max. So I keep playing thinking maybe + over max but after about quite a few battles it seems that's max level for the pass?

It's a curious choice if that's the case. I mean max level is hitting soon for me I can tell you that much. The question is.

Is it max 40 or is time gated by each section released? If so why would you do that?
If that is the case. You should for sure warn players the limit ahead of time. Because man while I made wise choices with coins and salvage + premium time I feel like...that's a really fast progression to a brick wall. If it was warned then I'm just blind to it.

Am I just missing something? I feel like I'm missing something here.
Anyone else reach max level on it have a different experience?

I think BP tokens carry over to the next BP. Capping the level allows those who purchase BP gold to not grind excess to just carry over to other BP shops and bypass the way to get to tier 3 shops.

That makes sense. I guess instincts on keeping my bonus ones not spent was on track then.

Battle Pass tokens won't carry over, there's an info tool tip on the Battle Pass. Extras turn into Credits after the pass expires. No idea on the conversion rate. You earn exactly enough Tokens as a Gold Pass player to unlock everything on the pass with no leftovers. Level 40 is very likely the cap until the next pass.

Only for the things you need from the BP.

But I think if it's a whole 40 is max type of deal for the whole of "Season" with good ole math.

It would impossible for a person to actually get to beyond tier 2 pool pick 1 for it.
You'd have 2 left over. Because of the requirements to spend in order to unlock each pool.
So prize one you eseentially have to pick a junky line up of paint/decal/legs/body/gem?
To get to tier 2 only to now only have 2 left.

Something just feels weird with this. So say a free player goes at it they get to second tier and then it ends. So what of 3 then it would actually not possible for anyone but the paid pass to get that far. But even then you almost have to buy the junk in the pass shop just to progress.

It's not a me problem but I definitely find it odd they force a spend to move ahead then limit to basically 1 pick from week 2 but you had to use tokens to get there. It's a pretty bad design choice not one I would choose if I were trying to not look at bit p2w'y.

It's so vibing fallout 76 pass the most hated pass ever I find it hard to excuse it.
If it's truly over token carrying over, yeah I'm sitting 391 of em right now. That could be a gain for sure. But then it's just maybe converting to credits is an actual dumb idea if it's going restrict to week 2 for what will be the average player.

This puts this pass at the level below smites own pass for free players but then the difference most smite pass stuff is just cosmetic stuff. This one has whole ass mechs and weapons in it.

Cool I'm sure most who play have.

Do the math on it. Pass 2 cannot unlock with out spending the near entire f2p pass amount.

You can't even go beyond one single token reward in the second part.
Part 3 will entirely blocked for people.
I went and looked at it from a free players perspective and found this pass be super garbage.
Not only does it force you to buy things in the previous "Act" of the pass but even you get ...1 credit pick or....yeah just.

It's literally one of the worst I've seen. My whole opinion on the game shifts with that one.
Because I think it's unfair that after 40 a free player gets 1 pick out of the 2nd line up and it has to be the gold or salvage or one of the actual terrible stickers.


It's a stupid pass. It's dumb. It's literal game sense gone bad.
Why even have a stupid spend amount needed to unlock if you aren't going to keep the pass at constantly levelling. THAT'S WHY the cap pass bs exists in other games. 40 limiting it to actual 40 while blocking the remainder of pass part 2 -3 is actual scum baggy stuff. It can't be incompetence because if it were it wouldn't have that whole "Spend this many tokens to unlock next part" That's either copied from another without any sense to continue the progression of the pass OR it's a orchestrated method to force the pass spend.



TLDR: They make it so you need to SPEND tokens to open the next part of the pass BUT then the tokens left for it are about 13 or so and the max cap is 40 on a battle pass with 30 days.

Yes, The game is designed according to all the canons of web games 10-15 years ago, which of course migrated to mobile games and acquired incredible volumes of extortion of money from the player, by putting him in an uncomfortable position of need. Judging by the online of this game - most people on PC clearly do not welcome such a brazen monetization model, and the real need for all this in the game is not so great, but everything just screams - buy, you need it, swing for a long time, want cyclops legs - fork out for a battle pass, and if not - you will get by with crumbs, etc. :) In general, as for me - the developers made an excellent game of a modern level (technically), but alas - monetization was too greedy and short-sighted, the analysts clearly did a bad job and do not understand the PC and Console market. The thirst for profit has blinded them.

Yeah it's a pity. It's not a problem for me so much as it's just...what the ♥♥♥♥ guys. Now I gotta actually just being super OBJECTIVE on things. And this one has disturbed me. Not for me but because I've done enough defense work for these guys for free to now be on the actual opposite side of the fence.

When my friend hit me up and was like dude it's max 40 and I was 39 I was naww it's gotta keep going they'll let you earn beyond 40 man no way they are using the paladins mobile game method of pass here. A mobile game long dead..

That's when I start mathing things out and I realized this method here was enough to actually be grossed out by.

It's repulsive. They need to change that now or it's forever going to be something that players will hate. I hate it and I have money to not have to bother with it.

But until it's solved this game moves into 100% mobile monetization method that should be shut down before it keeps going because once it rolls on steam here? There is no stopping mostly negative from hitting and a 400 player count with 46 in chat as a normal.

They say it's not gonna be this way next pass...but maybe....do that now before people start giving the red marks for it. No game can recover mostly negative. Metrics don't matter on google play/apple. They schill the games. On steam it does.
