Just need to adjust your play style a bit and be aware of what people do so you can effectively counter it. No big deal, you'll get the hang of it in no time man.
Omg yes don’t even get me started about the barrage artillery bots spamming 🥲
That would be me. I am awful. And I spam it hard. Just splitting the sky with missiles.
I love the flame flankers. They are like the equilibrium of the game. No matter how much you pay. How strong you are or how clever.
Flame Flanker owns all. I hope they never change it. I don't even use it. I only use splash missiles (See> Terrible person).
That said, if they really felt like it needs to be in the game then they could put in a double-cost boost option that is accessed by holding down the boost button for a second, to allow the user to do a large boost forward. Similar to an overboost in the armored core series.
That way they can tailor it to "fit" more instead of seeing folks slamming their mechs face first into the ground to glitch out their velocity.
I'm sorry. It's just so funny to see the whole enemy team switch to flame flankers to try to take me out. It usually has the side effect of making them reckless and also making them forget the objective.
The devs have acknowledged that wave dashing is an exploit that they intend to fix next patch, which is happening as I type this. I'm honestly not that happy about it, because it's not a very high skill ceiling to learn it, and there are finer points that make a person a better pilot once they learn. I use it to reposition as artillery, and to get the drop on people as a flame flanker. Wave dashing also makes for a great escape when you run out of ammo as a flamer. It's a high risk, high reward manoeuvre. But I also understand how being able to dash across the map in 5 seconds breaks the intended gameplay balance.
Edit: I have confirmation from the devs that they do not plan to patch out the wave dash exploit. It's a feature, not a bug.
Cyclops is funny because they jump you and cant evade the laser.
Fury torso because you instanly reload.
The rest of the options are longer range or anything with a slow or snare but those are harder to get
You gotta have map awareness when you play artillery.
It's a low skill set but it's hard logistics.
"do I go after the rail gunner or the lance...why not both"?
I mix my rockets, long rain and mid range lock on for those times when you just got be a peace maker.
Though honestly Missiles aren't even that powerful. My twin Zeus is far more deadly,
I never worry about Missile Incoming unless it's a titan. Artillery is legit damaging but mostly it's psychological. Uboat depth charge type of deal.
This game is more and more unfunny.
Is all time 2 guys running with Fire Flanker.
My team is looking in the air and see birds i think.
Most times they rush in backline and kill 2 people befor the team is look at them.
I'm literally defending it here.
Flamers also have many weaknesses. Their DPS only works within about 100m. They can easily be destroyed before they get to you, if your team has any map awareness. It's a team game, and realistically you win the easiest by fortifying one spot on the map, and supporting each other. Whoever is forced to attack has a disadvantage.
