War Robots: Frontiers

War Robots: Frontiers

The Titan endgame in every match is getting old.
I just sigh when I hear several Titans spawn one after the other. Oh boy, here we go with an endless loop of the missile barrage and orbital laser we have to avoid over and over again. Ruins all the fun in any match. Do I use it myself? Of course. Do I like it? Nope, it's awful gameplay.

I love the concept of it myself.
But yeah hearing that tell tale "Enemy Titan" five times it really is the boss rush at the end of a moba just escorting it to the crystal type of deal. You love it but dread it.

I think titans should be on a timer like it's some special kill streak ability. Not like war robots where they play bought the actual titan. Now that was pure dread.

It adds the critical crunch time stress you need in competition. It also forces you to play under a different strategy.

Knowing what human nature will do, should make you realize you need to build a giant killer for the crunch.

I always have 1 I reserve for that reason.

The real problem is that a player can choose to go suicidal on last man standing matches, in order to get their titan faster. If you suck, your titan should not charge.

Yeah when I play careful and maybe lost 1 mech in the whole fight I will always not be able spawn a titan because it seems to charge on hit..not sure though. Be doing near 2 mil damage and just barely be titan ready near the end.

But if I hop nto my lance/griffin punisher hybrid I will always have titan up by the time it's gonna die and if it's capture warp time that just means I'ma summon titan to heal up my lance/griffin for next spawn.

And it bumps more when you kill a Titan.

If the player sucks, using a Titan does not change that.

I don't see them as a big threat. Little teamwork and it's dead. Of course it's supposed to be stronger but i don't think it's OP at all.

TBH, I would be fine w/o the Titans and just give us that slot for another customizable.

I enjoy theory building and a good mech game give that fix. So far, this is good for that. The only problem I have is the Titans are limited to what you can do with them.

Unless we will eventually get parts to mod them, I just think they are a waste of space for those who want to experiment with builds.

I dont like that idea, I am already invest recources in my titan and Titans gives additional gameplay and tactics, so no, I am glad that devs will not listen to you :P
Who said anything about listening to me? This is a open forum. I am free to express my opinion constructively. The OP does not like the Titan cluster and there are several solutions to that. And all opinions are welcomed.

Never know, the idea may start a different league to play in game. Something optional. Which would be beneficial to both sides.

You wanting to gate my opinion is a problem though. It shows you are threatened by the idea.

I would also rather take another regular mech over the Titan. It's so damn boring to play, boring to fight, and the last minutes of every match is a snore of a Titan fest. It doesn't make the game harder, it's just to predictable, and same old endgame over and over again with no variation.

All matches starts with excitement. What do they have? What does my teammates have? How should we do this? You improvise, you adapt and overcome. But endgame? Bleh, everyone in their titan, spamming oribital laser. Yawn!
I never see titans as a threat, staying mobile and putting damage on them I usually almost always destroy a titan with ease. 2 titans or more your going to need to hit and run and or have other teammates help. I’ve seen it done and done it myself. The hardest ones are grim blade titans cause they rush quick and make quick work of you with that short range beam. Once I see one I usually keep my fuel fool and start putting rounds on it to break shields and lead it on a chase and go under or between passageways that only my mech can go through. Then circle around it and keep hitting and take cover. If it’s engaging someone else then I easily get a lot of damage on it and by the time it turns I destroy it
I like to go Titan hunting. I like how the Titans aren't entirely op like they are in the cellphone game. I can actually go toe to toe with a Titan using a couple of my Robots.

i agree, titans are bad for the game

Defy expectation with Titans. They expect you to flee in terror.
I mostly am ultra agro with em. I know if you back down for a second versus a single titan you will die. I'll be spamming boost dodge like crazy just to run their clip out some.

Grim is a bit tougher to do that with but the same principle, if you have land mines grims life just got bad. Turn to side make a land of mines. Grims seem to move so fast that a lane of mines is absolutely the bane of em. But who uses grim.
Otis Mar 18 @ 7:17pm
Agreed. Titanomachy at the end of the match ruins the gameplay.
