War Robots: Frontiers

War Robots: Frontiers

Artillery weapons are unhealthy for this game.
Tens of thousands of damage per volley from across the map in a wide area, with a huge splash radius, projectile count, a short projectile travel time and almost no fine aim required.
They promote and reward players spamming attacks at a general area from the back of the map, and the aforementioned points mean they are also sufficient close range weapons. Compare what you need to do to do well with the almost universally mediocre shotguns versus weapons like the rampant or noricum.

They are extremely unfun to play against, reward lazy and passive play, punish players that engage or seek good positions, and make a match overall less mobile and dynamic.

I completely agree. Artillery and homing missiles are very toxic weapons.

Go play something else then. They are fun weapons and belong to mech game. It's all about balancing and maybe bigger maps. I wouldn't mind bigger map.

Fun because you're the one using them, I assume. I suppose that's why you didn't engage with any of the points or construct an actual argument.

you can buy power. it doesn't matter what you do with the balance. this game will never be balanced as long as you can buy in game power with real money. \

steam player count went from 1000 to 500 in a few weeks.

do you think you current strategy will work in the long term?

I am actually confused by noricums in general. I play this game on Xbox. When aiming at enemies it seems to “lock-on” to their last known location and if they are moving about, it’s always missing even if you try to lead, if you get the red enemy outline even when leading target, it’s not connecting.

But everywhere in threads, people are complaining about these weapons being too good and OP.

How can you improve a weapon like this to be fun to use, considering their terrible aiming assist coupled with player’s nuisance of dealing with them? They honestly seem great weapons for keeping enemies on the move or hidden behind cover but that nuisance often gets them engaged enough to push in and sweep a win. I have found Orochi torso particularly useful in revealing for shots, however.

experienced players knows how to avoid noricum arty, they can be annoying, but not as dangerous as other weapons in the game.
