As I wrote before, if the structure of the game changes fundamentally I can understand them resetting progress. If they wipe everybody's accounts just because they want to try different progression mechanic, then no, that's not okay because that can be done with new players and/or with the new equipment they add. I understand this is an early release, but they need to understand we are not beta testers.
I was hoping that it wouldn't be the case for pixonic.... but I think you're right....
The problem is Pixonic looks at the WR and sees a success: that game earned over 500M over 7 years, so by all means they'll want to keep the same recipe. And they just did pretty nasty drone rework in WR that robbed players of their purchased items and apparently mobile players still line up to give them more of their money.
As for WRF, to me the biggest issue is lack of human players, I have not had a game with more than 6 human players, ever. I don't like the titans but would like to see what the game will look like with all human players. Unfortunately, based on the facts posted above many players will stay away and wait for the release because account reset can come pretty much at any time. So I feel like I have no choice but to do the same.
When I was playing WR, I had created my clan, but the players stopped the game, I was in 4 other clans and there too, the players left the game.
The Titans, the pilots, the drones, the mother ships have made many PC players leave, despite this Pixonic seems to want to keep this principle, I find it stupid, if WRF wants to be a PC and Console game.
Some would say that current players love it all, but we must not forget that many more players left because of these additions.
Very good point.
Dude really crying for healthy reset so everyone can start at the same level without abusive powercreep ? Also they stated it right ? So you bad for being a child and lazy to read.
But i sympathize still cause personnaly i share out the hate and pain of losing anything even as little as my progression and belongings are it's always akward.
That's not true at all .
1 no matter the game it's not uncommon for playing a save through multiple different version. And in general it's the opposite that is frowned upon and apart exception a sign of bad direction or lazyness.
2 There is more simple explanation to justify that and hundreds of others reasons too.
And for a pvp game or shared multiplayer game it's pretty obvious ... it's so that everyone start at the same time . at the same level.
What would the game look like if new players start matahes agaisnt all of you with maxed mech and "late game" weapons ?
Like come on.
Matchmaking problem are already a pain with veterant being mixed with nexbies for the first couple of days of each new seasons to note add totaly unfair advantage on top of that
Now if they are smart and truly passionate they have multiple solution as for exemple:
They could give for the release a week of boost or good bunch of days like 4 so you can grind faster and come back easly to your old level or,
lock your level for idk 2 weeks or,
lock it and slowly unlocking it as if you were a new players grinding but you aren't and use no ressources and so instead stock up ressources as bonus.
+ even if doesn't change the pain can gives goodies for people that where here before the release and for people that are here at the days of the release.
That's pretty easy and common stuff tbh.
If they truly act and think like that then they are braindead and not passionate cause context matters .
And you can't make bad comparison.
You are truly a lost cause then maybe they should do a special q only for you and make you matched against bot only for two month after the release so you would have time to reflect about the bs you are spitting and your childish hot headed attitude.
That's not an argument tho the fact they are sneaky geedy goblin or not doesn't change that a wipe is a healthy and normal procedure in any games.
Like what the heck are you thinking or trying to do here ? Be objective and logical.
Also dont "worry" the p2w "only" come in weeks or month after the release ... so you should have time to grind if you truly like it and follow it.
Like would really brain rotted to sneaky switch to p2w crap day 1 right no one has ever do that even in the mobile scene ? *kof* *kof*
Also i don't understand your worries or stand point like you already knew the compagny and their practice like just how they already monitised the game even tho ti's not released should have given you big red flags or big skepticism.
Even if they truly make a passion project and just exploit the mobile market cause it's the mobile market but truly desire to do a real game then it should be fine but don't expect it so easly.
They need to hard proove themself more then anyone else.
Don't be afraid don't regret anything just enjoy what you got and don't feed more the goblins if they choose the greedy and disrespctful path that's simple.
Also while i would agree in the past tbh you should learn to never expect the worst and bad but enjoy and patiently wait and if it's bad act accordingly to it and even if ti's not you should act accordingly but you understood what im eant x')
After all, at first all games were only pve and still kinda are but you still can have fun and your money worth. The worst that could happen is not being able to play at all or not having access to all part of the game.
But obviously they should work on both : good bots and offline mode while working on attracting and retaining more players. (like any game should to an extend)
Heh, I take it you haven't played War Robots?
Lets just say I have been playing WR since 2017, know the company and know what to expect. :)
