It is an arena fighting game like Naruto Ultimate Ninja Storm series.

Smashing is not relevant. Only beginners and spammer do it.

Just watch some mid-high level gameplay and you'll see the potential of this games combos. People will spam a lot regardless of who makes the game, but there have been some really interesting combos and character specials shown off already. Also based on the forward guard and the get up armour i dont think spamming with be as big of an issue then in last games of the same type.

No. That one is for competitive fighting games. Cyberconnect never been known to do that

It has been pretty much copy paste eversince a decade ago.
They do it either way because people would buy it regardless of the quality and price
