"substation not connected to the main grid"
the power management in this game makes no sense it doesn't matter how much power i produce i cant have more than 3 substations or it will say they are not connected to the grid

Hello Jaded,

you can build more than 3 Substations. These must then be connected to the other substations via high-voltage cables.

With best regards
Ron

the game is bugged then because it just wasn't working i even made its own seperate power supply

the game also will sometimes say that power production isn't connected to a substation even though it may be right next to it

The game simply does not recognize when a substation is connected. It happens constantly and is a real pain to deal with because you have to rebuild everything until the game may or may not recognize its connected.

i never really had a problem with that. it indeed takes some time for the game to recognice newly connected stations. but just wait a day or two and it will work. you as a player should see when its connected, and if you see that its connected simply wait

too frustrating i just refunded it

its too game breaking you can lose a lot of money for no reason waiting for the game to see its connected

I'm sorry, but the game is straying from its simplicity. Useless things like this about energy and substations are very unnecessary! I hope that in the next update this flawed and annoying system will be corrected, or I will downgrade this game. I no longer know what to do with my city that has excess energy and even doing this round of wires and more wires and substations it still says it is off the energy grid, that's absurd! Let's be a simpler developer, the simpler the better!

I need to save and load the game for the new substations to get connected to the existing grid. Really annoying.

If you would just have a little bit of patience the no connectivity sign goes away after a little while

Still, doesn't make sense, cause while you wait, your population and industries have no power and that's not the case if you save/load.

Hello, we have fixed the bug that sometimes substations do not recognize that they are connected by high voltage cables. :-)

The error occurs when you have laid high voltage cables and then do not exit this build mode with a right click, but click on another button in the build menu.

With best regards
Ron

hi,
i have a power supply (solar plant)near the substation but not recognize it. Whats the problem?
Only works if i connect this substationt to another substation but i have to demolish some building because of cable.

When a substation and a power source are close to each other the power should work automatically. Forcing to connect substations makes the city a mess.

When a substation and power source are close to each other the power does work automatically.

It's the individual substations that need to be connected.

I agree the cables are a pain but... it wouldn't be a game if everything fit together flawlessly.

So I build a wind turbine and small substation next to each other in one corner of the map, they connect, provide power to the surrounding area - no problem.

I then build the exact same thing in another part of the map. They do not connect, the substation says its not on the grid, and the turbine provides no power.

Why?

You should connect your last substation to another substation in your city via high voltage cables.
