That said: You will need to plan very, VERY carefully what each button and axis on your controller does.
. . . and while it would certainly work fine with vehicles, I'm not sure how well it'll work with all of the panels on the carrier.
I was going to do this but I dont really fly/drive the units right now so I havent bothered.
(no addiitonal software required). When its properly set up it works all right.
Only big gripe i have is that you cant very well use keyboard and joystick at the same time which makes speed control very akward since that cannot be mapped to button but only to an axis forcing me to use badly placed control on the joystick (i dont have hotas otherwise i guess it would be fine)
Also for some strange reason i had to set sensitivity to ~ 95% instead of 100% because 100% was very slow on the roll axis.
Still would like native joystick support and the ability to use keyboard and joystick simultaneosly
