Barges don't deliver stuff from island
Hi, me and my freidn just captured our first surface chassis island and we already had a barge island. I produced tow bear chassis on that island and I ordered two to be deliverd to our carrier, but the barges don't go to the island to pick them up.
I already tried ordering the barges to go to the island and the green line does appear, but they just idle.
Is this a bug or am I doing something wrong?

1. Take your surface chasis facility on the logistics map and make sure it's connected to your warehouse.
2. Take any barge you want to come grab some seals/walrus from that facility and connect it to the surface facility.
3. After the barge is connected, it will move supplies from that facility to the warehouse.
4. Barges connected to warehouse will deliver supplies to you, if warehouse is connected to your carrier that is.

not sure i undertand 100%
But i belive that once you take an island its just unlock resouces at your home base.
So if you order anything then it do not go to the island with chassis but automatic get everyting you unlocked in the warehouse.
You can however manualy produce extra stuff on islands.

be aware when you order something then the barge load and sail almost instant and it take time to deliver.
So if your order something and wait example 1 minute and order more, and then wait example 2 minutes and order again. Then the barge will not combine orders but complete them one at a time. So your last order will take a very long time before it arrive.
At least that is my experience so far.

You need to draw a line from the island to the warehouse to designate where the produced items will go. A barge needs to be assigned to the island in order to transport to the warehouse. Warehouse needs to be connected to the carrier (either directly or by a chain of warehouses) and a barge needs to be assigned to the warehouse to transport it to your carrier.

Logistics in this game take time and planning to move everything around. Hopefully you have some guns that will fit on the Bear chassis since they don't fit the smaller guns that go on the Seal or Walrus chassis.
The author of this thread has indicated that this post answers the original topic.

Thanks DethSturm and Commando950 !
I tried to just send the barge to the island manufacturing the chassis, I didn't think I'd have to draw a line between the island and my warehouse :steamfacepalm:

barges always work on Island > Warehouse > Carrier, so if you need anything delivering make sure it in the warehouse before making a request ;)

The factory island needs to connected via a yellow line to a warehouse AND a barge needs to be connected to the island.

To transport something from an island directly to the carrier:

Remove all links in the barge map (you don't need to do this once you understand how everything works)

Link the island with what you want to the carrier
Link a barge to the island
Go to the stockpile screen and set how much of the thing on the island you want

(because it is on an island, you won't see the stock on the stockpile screen because that screen only shows warehouse stock. The barge will still retrieve it from the island if the island has it)

The barge should now collect that amount from the island and bring it to your carrier

It took me a really long time to figure out how this works :)

Hey mate, FlyinJ is on the money. Have a look at the post titled 'Carrier Not refueling', it should be close the page 1 or 2 for you (depending on when you see this). Here's a copy of my initial post attempting to help someone understand how the factories and barges work -
[SNIP]
You can ship direct from the factory to the carrier. In the logistics map drag the factory to the carrier, it should show a yellow dashed line between the two. Then drag the barge to the factory, it should show a dashed green line between the two. Next park the carrier next to the island with the factory... the barge will (once in position, it may have to travel from somewhere else first) then load and transfer to the carrier immediately. Always join factories to the carrier or the warehouse and barges to the factories (or warehouse). Barges will deliver between the factories (or warehouse) they are linked to and the destinations the factories (or warehouse) are linked to. It's a bit weird initially, but once you know this it's straightforward.
[/snip]
Also make sure you have actually placed an order in the [STOCK] tab of logistics. You can order the factory to make stuff, but to get it delivered you have to ALSO ensure you have ordered it for the carrier.
