Weapons Wiki
In this post I will track all the statistics about weapons that have been observed by direct observation. Please comment with confirmed observations or corrections and I will update this post as more information comes in. Until we get an actual wiki for the game this can help. I will use '~' for roughly observed and not precisely confirmed.

Weapon | Range | Target Types
  • Radar | 10Km | Surface vessels, Aircraft
  • Cruise Missile | 25Km | Ground, Surface Vessels
  • 160mm deck gun | ~5Km | Ground, Surface Vessels
  • IR Missile | ~over 3Km | All
  • Laser Missile | ~over 2Km | Surface vessels
  • TV Missile | 5Km(from launch vehicle) | Any
  • AA Missile | ~Over 5km*| Aircraft*
(note) 5Km range to lock. Will target other types if original target is destroyed.
  • Rocket | Unknown | Any
  • Torpedo |~10Km | Surface vessels
  • 20mm AC |800m |Any
  • 30mm cannon | 1Km | Any
  • 40mm cannon | 1Km | Any
  • Heavy Cannon | Unknown | Any
  • Battle Cannon | Unknown | Ground, Surface Vessels

Ooh ok, fly by wire? Got it, thanks!
That's not exactly what fly by wire means, but your understanding is correct :)

(Fly by wire is an aircraft control system on the aircraft itself that sits between the controls and the aircraft control surfaces etc and sort of manages the pilot inputs to better match the performance characteristics of the vehicle. E.g. the reaction control system on the Bell X-15 that allowed it to be piloted in space similarly to an atmospheric plane, even though space maneuvering works very differently)

Yep, I meant to say line-of-sight (as in command) but derped.
what i see here is for horizontal ranges.. which is good. but anyone figured out what some of the vertical heights some of these will spot you or engage you at?

It's the same as far as I can tell. Thats why I fly my aircraft at 1050m then they are safe from all the cannons.

AI only seems to consider horizontal range, unless the vertical puts you above 1km, in my experience. They won't shoot your aircraft until they close to ~300 meters horizontal. Then they'll shoot all day. But if you move to 1050m altitude or further away horizontally, they'll cease fire.
alright.. yea i been flying at 1500 currently but hadnt 'tested' out to see when ill get shot down.

I think what you're looking for is 'Command Television' or similar. There is literally a camera in the missile that you look through while flying the missile all the way to the target.
For testing purposes I successfully launched several IR missiles from ranges of something like 3998 meters and such, it's the furthest I could make hits. So I suspect the range is 4000m.
