Be warned that you did not fix the problem.
The bug is that no matter what value you enter into the save editor, your carrier weight will ALWAYS be set to 2 if you use it.
The moment you lose weight more than what you barge loaded + 2, the interger will once again underflow to that crazy value.
There is currently no recovery for save files that use the save editor. And using the editor to fix the problem will only reset your weight to 2. The value box does nothing.
https://bitbucket.org/Developpeur3d/carrier-command-2-saves-editor/src/master/
Or search "CC2 Save Editor" on the Steam Forum and you'll find the thread.
Again, be warned, the editor is currently damaged, and using it in ANY way will cause your carrier's weight to be set to 2 on game load. Which is a MASSIVE hindrance instead of a help.
Update: If you want to play the game with Omega dead so you have no time pressure, this is how you can do so without using the Save Editor program.
Find your game save .xml in "%AppData%\Carrier Command 2\saved_games\".
If you do not know which save slot is the one you want, "%AppData%\Carrier Command 2\persistent_data.xml" will tell you.
Then Ctrl+F and look for is_ai_controlled="true"
There will be two of them, ID 0 and ID 2. ID 2 is Omega.
Change ID 2's "is_destroyed=false" to "is_destroyed=true"
Omega will blow up the next time you load the save. The game is now in "free roam" for you to test things out.
