How to move through vehicles
Is there an easier way to move through manually control? Im controling something, but i need to give an order esc+esc+click+click+Click my vehicle+click camer+r+2+r just to give one command to make a guy go left for a second. Like, I feel like getting in and out and commanding everyone is such a chore for something that should be very easy.

Why not let me Tab through vehicles. Why do some vehicles need to be ordered to fire from the radar screen? If I want to actually see the results other than an x on a monochrome screen, I have to race to get back in just to see what happens

Most importaintly, why is it just such a chore to try and command my groups of vehicles. Thats the main thing that the game is about, It actively pushes me to stare at the radar screen instead of enjoying the super cool sci-fi robot war that im engaging in.

Val I 100% agree that thumbing through vehicles is a nightmare. Your ability to quickly react to threats and contact is limited to how quickly you can jump off of the vehicle your in control of and back to the overview. While I understand a large part of a strategy game is giving orders from the top down, the clunky controls and lack of things to do or see on the carrier means 91% of the time im leading the charge.

I think the only advice I can give you Val is to try and make use of the wait alpha, bravo, etc commands. These let you set waypoints for your vehicles to advance to. They will wait at your desired location and only continue their route when given the go code, which can be given rather quickly. With good use of these commands you can have ground forces perform coordinated strikes on targets and group pushes into locations with only one command.

It takes longer to connect to vehicles and turrets the closer they are to the action. IMHO this does not increase realism, but it was clearly designed that way on purpose.

If all the source code were avaliable there would certainly be some places where the UX could be improved with little effort.

On the other hand, a larger team working together should have an advantage over a lone wolf.

You can skip the "select camera in menu" step by simply pointing at the object and pressing the R key/X button (Interaction B). So the sequence to take a manual move to the left is: point vehicle control - E - point vehicle - R [wait for conncetion] - 1 - R - A [long press].
