Storm and albatross
The smallest wave and your albatross is gone during landing. I bet everyone wanted to punch the computer at that moment.

I've lost 4 mantas today just because of them launching/landing into a wave. Them waves are deadly.

Just got an albatross happily flying into... a wave. YAY. Haha.
I hope they'll add some sort of deck management into the game, or at least a "takeoff" button x)

on the one hand its terrible to lose an aircraft to bad weather but on the other hand i like it it makes it more real and intense its very very risky to launch in bad currents or weather launching and landing aircraft on aircraft an carrier even in good weather is more dangerous then combat just a fact of life on an aircraft carrier :) also if you launch and land sailing with the wind it will help you aircraft get more lift

Yeah you have to be careful about where you launch from. The deeper the ocean, the higher the waves, so I generally launch attacks from the next island over at first and then steam over to the shallower waters near my target island once I've taken out the threats to my carrier itself. Haven't lost a plane to a wave in ages :)

(Still would be nice to be able to manually launch planes when you're in the chop)

someone else mentioned turning off your elevator/crane until your ready for them to go.. make your waypoints and wait... then release them.

I would love a “hold takeoff” button but really it’s just common sense. If you launch with waves then you are taking a risk, can’t really complain if it gets destroyed. More realistic this way too. But yeah, hold takeoff would be useful

Yes, after having played for a while, I must admit that you have to take the weather into consideration. However, sometimes it still doesn't make sense because planes, for some reason, sometimes fly below the waterline when it is storming...
