Basic questions about Renown
"Is it a real survival game?" questions:
1. Is there hunger, thirst? Do you die if you don't eat and drink?
2. Is cold a factor? Do you have to stay warm?
3. Can your clothes/items get wet and does it do anything, like make them heavier or unable to burn or reduce their insulation?
4. Is carry weight a factor, so your stamina max gets lower the more weight you carry, or similar?
5. Are there sicknesses? Can they kill or weaken you? Are you more susceptible if hungry, cold, thirsty, wounded, etc?
6. Does the game have night, and if so, is it actually dark?
7. Do you regen health all the time? Is it a function of your health status and other actions you take like bandaging or eating/drinking? Are there skills or items that can heal you?
8. Do items deteriorate?

"How does it handle pvp?" questions:
1. Can you be killed by other players anywhere, or at any time? Are there pvp-safe zones or toggles?
2. Are there npc guards that will enforce some kind of rule of law?
3. When you die, is your corpse lootable?
4. If someone takes your stuff, is that a crime or otherwise discouraged?
5. Can you steal from players?
6. Can bases be destroyed or broken into?
7. Is there voice chat in game? Is it local, volume adjustable?
8. Is there text chat in game, and is that local, regional, zonal, server-wide, or what?
9. Is it first person or can you go to 3rd person view?

1. No hunger/thirst. Devs believe it takes away from the objectives of the game.
2. Cold is currently not a factor, but might be something in the future. We do not know yet.
3. Water currently just slows you down while you're in it. If you want something like what you're describing, SCUM is the game for you.
4. Carry weight isn't a factor, but more-so carry slots (like Minecraft or Rust). If you want carry weight, SCUM or DayZ would be an option for you.
5. No diseases (yet, or possibly at all), but there is bleeding, which requires bandages to heal or to wait until the condition wears off.
6. No day/night cycle (yet, possible to be added in a new map. There are torches in the game though)
7. Health regen is rather slow by itself. If you attack or block attacks, or even get hit, your health regen stops. Bandages increase health regen, and allow passive health regen while fighting, though at a slower rate since your base health regen would stop.
8. Items have durability, yes. They lose effectiveness at 2/3's durability and only get worse from there on out.

For PvP,
1. There are certain safe zones where you can buy items for gold coins found throughout the map (or crafted from gold ingots), otherwise the rest is considered PvP areas, much like Rust.
2. Supposedly there's going to be a "renown system", which may be some kind of bounty system. The only guards currently are in a castle at the center of the map, which just act as enemies to push through for loot.
3. Yes, your corpse is lootable. If your corpse despawns, your items are placed in a bag until it also despawns. Think of item despawning in Minecraft, except it's put into an inventory, rather than just thrown everywhere.
4. No, raiding is encouraged and is part of the game loop, since the game is similar to Rust but using medieval technology and weaponry.
5. In a way, yes. You can steal by breaking into people's bases/homes they've built and take their items. Otherwise if you mean pickpocketing, then no.
6. Yes, bases are destructible. Players can build catapults and rams to break through walls and doors.
7. Voice chat is in the game, but it's not 100% functional. It's local voice chat, and you can't lower voice chat for other players individually, only mute certain players.
8. Text chat does exist, yes. There is global and local channels to type in.
9. It is both first and third person, you can swap between the two.

Keep in mind everything is subject to change or fix in later updates. I'm not a dev, but I'm hoping to be able to answer your questions to the best of my abilities.
