Chapter 4 is when you meet her, but her bigger version is after chapter completing chapter 22.

The game has three big women, unless you mean another?

Blond: Chapter 4, the paladin is when you meet her, but her bigger version is after chapter completing chapter 22.
Dark: Chapter 7 and leaves after 12, rejoins later.
Red: Chapter 11, mage, first encounter, joins at end chapter 20.

the "big woman from the trailer", i'm pretty sure you mean the one in the first part of the first trailer on th store page and YES, that is that paladin from chapter 4, but she doesn't look like that until later in the story, when certain events transform her into that.

I myself was confused for a long time, because i kept reading posts about "Diana" and how strong she is and how she could just be your entire army all by herself and that's vastly exaggerated.
she is super tanky, but her dps is poor unless you are willing to pump her up with a lot of consumable items for the permanent stat increases.
she does get a lot better after the events, because her melee attack gains aoe and +1 range. so near the end, her squad was my second most powerful squad, after mine. i tend to focus on making my main hero squad the most powerful one, since losing that squad = game over.

i'll also admit, diana's squad might have had bad dps on my game because i built her to be as tanky as possible. i gave her the spectacles that prevent stealth attacks and the genbu shell that prevents crits and put mostly healers and paladins in there with her.

second playthrough, i'm making her squad a bit more dps, still has her, 2 paladins, 2 healers +1 oracle and i plan to fill the back row with rangers.
i like rangers better than assassins. they have higher skill stat and their precision strike attacks anyone, not just the back row and they are stronger on defense than assassins.
honestly, i think assassins are the weakest unit, but that's my opinion.

To add to this even when you get her in that form, that specific animation is when she does a ranged attack. Which will only happen if attacking 2 squares away, or at an enemy up on on wall. I am preempting the inevitable follow up question to this discussion.

Is the red one Beatrix? Because she isn't big. The dark one is the fighter? Because she isn't as big as Diana gets neither.

It's Diana. She'll get her titan form late game automatically, so don't worry, you didn't miss anything.
