Cloudrender Athelis Criteria

Anyone know the criteria for Cloudrender to appear in the shop (not including Bazaar)
I've been re-rolling the shop and hes not showing up lately. On my last playthrough, I did manage to reroll shop like a hundred times and he did show up. Not sure if this is patched or if hes extremely rare and I just got really lucky.

nvm, i got him now..... damn... i must have rerolled like 500 times. i feel like his drop rate is lower (ie 1/5) compared to ones like the legendary Champion or Centurion.

Yeah he's a hard one to track down, but a heck of a find!

I just picked him up, for only the second time. So, it'll be 6 dragon squads for the final fight, just as long as I can get enough gems together. On Ludicrous I find that gems are an even bigger limiting resource than sunstones. At least you can melt down pyrocite for sunstones (I never use gunpowder units), but I'm not melting down my horses for gems.

this is why i usually recruit mercenary Oracles / Templars, which saves you the cost of both the gem and the Sunstone. another choice is Dragoons. but Dragoons kinda suck when you have a lot of them. And unlike Oracles, the stats on a Dragoon does matter a bit more.

and finally, using light units and war cats can significantly reduce the need for Iron, which converts to a lot of Gems.

I actually rolled him (her?) on my very first bazaar in my very first campaign. Got super excited...and then I saw the price tag >.>

I did too actually, and I managed to afford them. They led a powerhouse squad the whole game for me :)

btw, consider downgrading Cloudrender to dragon and then upgrading to red dragon, if you have sufficient MAG.
