What's the visual update?

Having trouble finding examples/specifics of the visual update. This might be the tipping point that gets me to purchase what sounds like an outstanding experience (it's competing with my backlog, but looks good enough to jump the line). Any links or info is appreciated, thanks!

You can toggle classic portraits in the settings

I don't own the game yet, so I have no idea how the classic looked vs the new. I'd be interested in seeing this, thats why I am asking.

Exactly! I tried this too, even youtube. No luck, that's so weird. -_- I guess it doesn't matter. But it still makes me wonder.

Yes, there is a toggle in-game. All the old portraits are there

In short the new portraits are more feminized than the classic portraits.
Softer/weaker and rounder facial features.
Why? Someone needed something to do without actually doing anything? Who knows.
But that's what it is.

No one answered their questions.
If there are 3 people posting on the forum looking for answers there are 3000 searching the internet and giving up once they land in the same forum and see no answer was available.

Now they have the answer short of screenshots comparing examples. Which would have been available and advertised if the dev was certain they were upgrades🤷

multiple people answered the question. the option to toggle them is in the options menu. a helpful comment would have been to point out you can compare the portraits by toggling the option from the campaign menu then going to the relations tab where you will be able to compare the portraits shown when looking at relationships to various characters. from there you'll get an idea of the changes. what you did wasn't helpful nor informative. if anything it would give anyone googling this the wrong idea on how the changes look considering it definitely doesn't feminize the men.

I'd say maybe they come off as slightly anime-ish but that's not the same as making the men "feminine" and tbf makes the women characters more pretty too, so...
