There isn't a whole lot... I suspect that's part of why the reviews for this game are overwhelmingly positive.

You might want to try something from that list, it is still being updated regularly:

I haven't played any of them (other than SoW), but I do plan on trying out Grand Arms once it comes out.

Soul Nomad & The World Eaters is very similar even up to 9-unit squad thing.

Otherwise it strongly depends on what you mean with "games like this game". Because there's of course plenty of great SRPGs out there, but they are usually less heavy on the army management between battles.
I mean the game with many customizable units and auto-battler style of combat.

On Steam? There aren't really any that's similar, that's as good.

Langrisser is legendary but I hate the remake. They made it easier and it feels really pointless because they got rid of all semblance of difficulty that it used to have.

I haven't tried Conviction yet but it looks like it plays more like classic Langrisser than the remake did.

The one that looks the most impressive to me is Brigandine

which does have customizable units but it's not an auto-battler & is more like a sandbox warbased tactics grand strategy game but without the diplomacy. Kinda reminds me of a hybrid of Age of Wonder 3 & Nobunaga's Ambition.

I played Brigandine right after playing SoW and it didn't hit the spot for me the way SoW did. I can't really quantify it very well. I liked the strategic map, but disliked the battle system.

Soul Nomad & The World Eaters. I think that's the closest game to this one, but with a Disgaea flavor.

I wouldn't necessarily say it is "like" this game but Wildermyth scratched a very similar itch for me. The combat is very fun and I love being able to bring legacy heroes back and continue their stories.

The Last Remnant is pretty close since it's also squad base.

It would be a good game if it was not plagued by an absolutely awful level scaling that completely ruins the game

Was it fixed recently cause I was talking about the PC version and it was awful?

Last time I played it was in 2018

I also played the pc version recently because I played it on PS back in the day. It was still plagued by having to do silly things to not over-level before you catch the pokemons you wanted... maybe I missed a community patch idk...

The PC version was already the fixed version. The only version that's unbalanced is the XBox360 version.
