You might want to try something from that list, it is still being updated regularly:

I haven't played any of them (other than SoW), but I do plan on trying out Grand Arms once it comes out.
Otherwise it strongly depends on what you mean with "games like this game". Because there's of course plenty of great SRPGs out there, but they are usually less heavy on the army management between battles.

Langrisser is legendary but I hate the remake. They made it easier and it feels really pointless because they got rid of all semblance of difficulty that it used to have.

I haven't tried Conviction yet but it looks like it plays more like classic Langrisser than the remake did.
The one that looks the most impressive to me is Brigandine
https://store.steampowered.com/app/1843940
which does have customizable units but it's not an auto-battler & is more like a sandbox warbased tactics grand strategy game but without the diplomacy. Kinda reminds me of a hybrid of Age of Wonder 3 & Nobunaga's Ambition.
I played Brigandine right after playing SoW and it didn't hit the spot for me the way SoW did. I can't really quantify it very well. I liked the strategic map, but disliked the battle system.
It would be a good game if it was not plagued by an absolutely awful level scaling that completely ruins the game
You might like Lost Eidolons
The Last Remnant is amazing. I'd recommend it, Shiny.
Was it fixed recently cause I was talking about the PC version and it was awful?
Last time I played it was in 2018
