Defeating Beatrix Made Easy
The only thing that makes her difficult is her really high dodge. Just use an upgraded target leader attack and then start the jokes. A good Diana squad can 1 hit her.

I softened her up by pelting her with arrows from Jules first to avoid a counter in case I failed. Then, yes you just move in with a targeted leader attack. Barnabas and his cavalry is a good choice as he can then retreat back to safety if need be.

Dedicated Jules Warbow squad will oneshot her

That's exactly how I did it. She did survive..... with 1 HP, so Barnabas had to finish her off. But yes, him or any other Warbow squad built up targeting the leader is a safe bet.

I sent my swordswomen squad after her. Only alternative tactic I had available was Target Leader. She went down instantly.

Given the number of people who have the achievement, I'm guessing it's not that hard to do. Maybe it used to be harder?

I don't think so exactly. I think some get intimidated though by seeing her in action. Basically if you fail, when she counters she's going to wipe your squad out. If she attacks you, you're dead.

Part of what makes her difficult is she tends to run away after only an attack or two. But this also keeps her from wiping weaker players.

It isn't. All it requires is Stefan to ambush her. When you understand the Ambush mechanic, you can just move Stefan into an ambush spot and he will murder her. Her high dodge isn't good enough to beat a light infantry unit designed to Ambush people.

Ambushing is super, super good. Removing the opposing squad's first round means you get to act twice before the enemy does anything, and even then, what's left of them only gets one round of actions.

But my swordswomen didn't even Ambush and they still did way, way more damage than I'd have needed to defeat her twice over, just with their initial attack.
