The closest thing I can think of is the Arena, which is available through Arena Tokens that randomly appear in the shop and sometimes drop as random loot items, though being random its rare to see that happen.
Within the Arena, its like its own little level. You can't repeat it, however, its worth extra gold and fighting battles in there gives XP and CP, to a point. I think its like, up to +4 levels above an enemy you stop getting EXP, and at +3 its only 1 EXP per battle.
But if a good way to get some gold (if you have archer whit thiefery) then you can grind your cold........if you want to spend like 1000 turn of hoping to get 70k gold :P
You could, in theory, spend 1000 turns in the Arena (with the animation on Turbo) but it wouldn't take that long to level all your units to enemy level+4 and max out CP. And yes, if you had thievery on a squad and kept fighting you could in theory have unlimited gold. I think, however, that once you reached the point at which you had your levels at +3 or +4 and max CP, you'd probably get bored enough of just running through turns to move on.
Keep in mind, that there is a limited amount of artifacts you can buy from each Marketplace between battles and at each Bazaar in battles that have them. Unlimited gold sounds good, but if you are getting all the objectives and doing arenas you're going to have enough gold to buy what you have access to for the most part.
If you are going to put any sort of extended amount of time into getting more gold, you're best return is reloading the start of the chapter until the Marketplace has an Arena Token. You're more likely to get a Silver or Gold Token much quicker that way then the time it would take to run through a bunch of turns with thievery, and it would likely be enough gold you'd be able to mostly buy all the things you run across.
It's a single player game though, so its all up to you how you play. If you want to want to milk an area for 1000 turns for a huge sum of gold, and that means you enjoy the game more, than more power to ya.
Wait...can you explain this? How do I reload to get a new seed on the marketplace?
