First time I tried it, no audio.
Did a reboot, audio was fine, played for several hours.
Next time I went to play the game (no reboot since last success) audio failed.
Rebooted, but now that didn't fix it, no audio.
Updated all drivers, nothing. Updated BIOS, nothing.
Now I can't get any game audio to play, despite one time success. Just on this NUC though, working fine on the other machine. Other Steam games play audio just fine on the NUC.
Search for a free virtual driver, named: VB-CABLE Virtual Audio Device
Select the Cables input as default playback device and cable output as default recording. In the cable output, select properties and check "listen to this device trough" and select your Intel HDMI audio device. That's it. All your game will play and sound when in full screen.
Alternatively, use something like a bluetooth headset.
In my case, both of these solutions did the trick on my Nuc. Also, as I said before the game plays fine on my regular gaming machine. It's just my NUC with intel graphics that has the issue.
