Unique Mercenaries

Anyone one find any interesting mercenaries, I've only found three so far.

Don't know if it's from the latest patch, but Lady Clarimonde now has a new skill.
Field Marshal: +10 hit/evade to the entire army while this squad is deployed.

I think this is the first army wide skill I've seen, pretty cool, but she costs a huge 18685 gold to hire when I found her, she was level 35 at the time.

I believe that Lysander has always had that skill. Not sure about Lady Clarimonde.

I always find at least one in Bazaars so far. Pretty good ones too. A mage with high chance to force surrenders, and a Samurai with Archery Captain bonus, and Desert Warrior bonus

I got the Matriarch, she's decent with that 60 leadership

Renalyn Steelheart is absolutely absurd. Her Str and Skl get out of control, especially when made golden. Around level 30, she has enough skl to become a complete dodge tank, with minimal support. Probably my favorite mercenary out of them all, but I am heavily biased towards Swordmasters.

Apparently, you get higher stats/hp in exchange for not being able to class change anymore. You have to use it on a tier 3 unit with maxed CP. And it doesn't increase Leadership, unfortunately.

Basically, it's why you would want to max CP after getting to your tier 3 class.

I like to use them on Mages, Dragons, and heroes who can use it, mainly. Some heroes can't use it though.

You can often find them in treasure crates around the map

I never counted, but there's maybe... like 15-20 by the end of the game from chests and arenas. Then technically I think you can grind arenas repeatedly before the final battle for more, but... that sounds a little boring after a while and it's definitely not necessary.

once you hit end game no more dragons or mercs. you can get unlimited regular troops and upgrade them to anything you want.

Centhos the Muse - blue mercenary - Light element Apprentice with Prodigy and Silver-Tongued. 54 LDR to which is really high at this point in my game. Prodigy just means it grows even faster. Plus with Silver-Tongued he'll get LDR bonuses for forced surrenders... And Light element... Could really sky rocket on LDR :) Only $1800 to boot :)

Shoot. I'm running this guy and didn't even realize that. He got my sigil that helps everyone on the map and I've just been rag tagging his team together, but he gets his combats in

They show up randomly. If you save and reload your market place will have all different characters and artifacts. And the same guys can show up over and over. So you haven't necessarily missed out on him.

I see but RnG is a ♥♥♥♥♥ in most games! ;)

Edit: As a general rule, what are the "must" buy unique Mercenaries? I recruited Centhos very early, and I love him. He was relatively cheap, and he provides the precious high Leadership lacked at that stage of the game.
