I'm assuming by "auto resolve" you are talking about just having individual squad battles happen instantly?

If so, the problem with that is how much rng goes into each battle, each squad member's action from both sides, each round, as well as extra attacks. That's a lot to calculate in one auto resolve.

Perhaps so. I wouldn't know for sure, I just know there are games out there which have such a feature.
this would not work for the game the way you want it ....its prity much already part of the game....just use ~

just because something works in one place DOS NOT mean it will everywere good to know this early



the game is MEANT to be rng its one of the things sooooo many love about it...if you dont like rng.....might be in the wrong place

As I said, it's a great game, and I beat it twice already. I want to break the game, in order to break the game, I want my arena battles to go by quicker, or at least automated because the grind is real in trying to get max stats for your favorite squads.

There actually already is an auto-resolve in the game. Whenever an allied (green unit) does battle, it just goes straight to the result and shows the HP in the end. Having that be toggleable nice, could even be unlockable after the first playthrough to make subsequent runs faster.

Every green units dies off instantly because they made it that way for a certain degree of difficulty. Your own units, that you have leveled and geared up, are going to have a much better time than those green units you are referring to.

And no one wants to use ~ here. There should be an 'auto-battle' option, if it's not terribly difficult for them to give us one. Why would you disagree with that? It certainly won't hurt you or anyone else to have that option.

It's just a 6 on 6 fight. You can basically calculate that fight using a pen, a sheet of paper and a set of dice manually in under 10 minutes. For a CPU, calculations on this scale should not take more than a few milliseconds (and I'm being very generous here), AKA there are no performance issues in making auto-resolve possible. Besides, since the player doesn't do anything during combat, it's the same as normal combat, but without the animations.

but its not 6v6 it can go up to 9v9? 100s of troop combos....most AR in games use pure stats thats why ar sucks so bad in most games

just look at total war games
