Overtuned Artifact?
Started a file with my brother recently, and this morning I started a single player file. The file we play together didn't get very good equipment from the looks of it. Mediocre stats/effects, with some having -stats on it as well. Then, my single player file I find this in the first 2 fights, in the trader between battles: https://i.imgur.com/3IMJfK4.png

There is no real downside, and it is like so much better than anything else we have seen so far. Mind you, we are not far into the game, but the difference in how good this is is glaringly obvious. This is supposed to be a common, but looks more like a legendary kind of item compared to other commons. Costed me 260g~ or so.

It is a fair trade for capacity. I cannot imagine your response once we get to the really good stuff. You'd probably want to nerf - or perhaps erase - every purple or orange item.

Ha, we'll see I guess. This one item seems like it would make just about any squad with a healer in it entirely immortal to these early fights.

Artifacts are really uneven in power imho, which can be seen as a downside although I sort of like it this way.

If you're like me and enjoy artifacts that have no annoying downsides, then yes, it is one of the better ones, even compared to the orange/purple stuff.

That's the key, "early fights". When your frontliners have 110 HP that 35 hp seems like a big deal. When you're staring at 6-800 HP on dragons taking up 2 tiles, far less so.

Yea this is one of the better ones, but the REALLY absurd one is the Crusader Hammer or whatever its called that is like +5 STR -5 MAG or something

Makes Archers capable of nearly deleting everything

naw, stack armor "pen" and cover defeating artifacts.....then you delete anything
5 strength means nothing when you do true damage

Yeah, I have Crusaders Mace, Dragonscale Armor, Excalibur, Donari Armor and St Teresa's Bulwark, and I just passed the Crimson Star mission in Chapter 3 on my single player file. Absolutely mind bending how OP I am right now...

The big downside is capacity. Believe me, late game, you're gonna be scrounging for each point of capacity you can grab just to squeeze in one more unit or higher level artifact. There's a reason there are so many artifacts that reduce your total capacity.

Also, as said before, while those numbers may seem impressive early game, late game, they are a drop in the bucket. Trust me, even without getting into the ones that give absurd effects like letting your squad attack first on defense, there are artifacts that give much higher stat buffs.

Donari Armor was one of my favorite equips, but there is more powerful stuff. The more powerful the artifact the more capacity it costs. And sometimes its choice between one more squadmember and a nice artifact.

The stuff you will get the most millage out of will likely be the artifacts that give you capacity. I purchased those every change I got.
