Platinum arena impossible

I got attacked by a army that had 4 groups of 5 man Zweihänders. Brought out my best groups and got kicked. One group of them laid waste to Diana's front row in the first round of attacks. It was brutal. I beat a platinum arena earlier but not this time.

Wait a while until your troops are higher leveled. But yeah, first time I played a platinum I had to restart the battle several times before I won. Cannons are your friend.

Also remember you can summon more troops mid fight. Click your castle.
You lose if 5 troops die. Nothing stopping you from retreating badly beaten ones and replacing with fresh ones.

Platinum arena is pretty rough... even more-so if you go in early in your run. Don't forget to leverage the walls to your advantage and be the initiator; clearing out 3 units of any squad saves you a lot of pummeling!

I clicked my castle and nothing happens. There is nothing in the right click menu either. I agree we can retreat badly damaged troops, but I wasn't able to summon more?

After you retreat one, you get new options.

is it? what difficulty are you on? I am playing on captain and no pressure at all.

Use tactics of division. Moving a unit into the quad can separate them into two groups. The one south through the water and the second one through the center. Fight at the choke point southeast of you castle supported to the north with ramparts.

Heya, Davea! You can only have 5 active squads in an arena but, in the event that you only have 4 deployed, you can click on the home base and deploy an additional squad from your reserves. This mechanic exists in most missions.

If you are at 5 squads deployed and one of them is badly damaged, you can move them back to the home-base and select the "retreat" option, which will remove them from the fight and allow you to bring in a new squad if you would like.
