Proofs of Merit reward change?

Since the 1.02 update came out I have been unable to get more than one Proof of Merit for completing the Platinum arena challenge. Previously it was pretty common to get two. In fact, I have only been able to get the one on Platinum, none of the other levels have a Proof of Merit as the reward. Just unlucky, or was a undocumented or unintended change introduced?

I also noted that they became a LOT harder to get from arenas. However, I can confirm that it is possible to get them from Bronze arenas, they are just extremely rare and honestly not worth the sanity trade from the amount of save scumming you would need.
Fun fact: bronze arenas gives 7 rewards (2 of them being codex and 1 being gold), but all the times I got proof of merit I had 8 rewards, as if the proof of merit was a bonus rather and part of the rewards.

Interesting. I did finally get one on a Gold arena. It does appear as if a change was made.

There is now a dedicated slot for receiving PoMs from arenas and the loot system were adjusted; I'm unsure if that means that you can only ever get one but I know it means you'll always get one.

At what difficulty is it guaranteed?? Cause I played 2 bronze and 1 silver without getting any

I am not sure if there's a slot for a PoM for Bronze/Silver; forgive me, I would need to read back over the devs notes to be sure but it's probably only for Gold/Platinum arenas. Don't take it as gospel until I get clarification but I'm pretty confident that's how it's workin' right now.

There is an extreme low chance to get a PoM from Bronze arena. It might be something like 2-3%. I only play bronze for cash farming (thieving squads) and i got like 1 PoM in 30 or 40.
