Can't play new Demo?

I've downloaded the demo twice, verified files and the demo gives me nothing but a black screen. Task manager says the game is not responding...

They have put up a different demo launcher each time. Doubt the new launcher is even up yet.

but where can we download it I dont see it

..I'm sure I've played the demo before, long time ago, (probably an older version) without having issues to launch it,

but I just re-dowloaded the current ANVIL demo , and it crashes right after getting the same error msg...

any ideas?

"Uncheater initialize... load fail..." (Image link removed because it was borked for some reason)

Only thing I can think that might cause this is installing the game to my secondary drive (which is not in Program Files) as some games get pissy when you install them outside Steam's program folder (which is just dumb btw; dynamic URIs are a thing ffs)

Thanks for the confirmation. I've had issues with other games not being happy about being outside of Program Files, so I thought I'd include the information just in case it was a factor of the error, but it seems that wasn't a concern.

I've completely given up on playing this game, personally, but I am glad that anyone who has the same error I had (and uses a secondary drive for game storage) will know that the issue isn't from installation location. Greatly appreciate that, on their behalf.

I can reach the main menu and click play, but then it just says "network unstable, please wait". After another few seconds I get the "Uncheater initialize" message. Great demo.
