Crashing on Start?

There isn't a PC game I can't run (due to pc specs), but every time I launch this game, it crashes after the opening cutscene showing some of the stars. Any ideas?

Edit/Update: I just did anyway... no change.

So the reason why I suggested to validate the files is because it sounds like it's having trouble lading the game engine after the intro is complete, like some files were corrupt or something. And unless you're using some weird antivirus (AV) app that no one else is using, it's probably not your AV, because your case seems to be uncommon/unique.

It's very unlikely to be something to do with the way your video card/driver is handling the game.

Unsure how to fix this. Seems like ever since EA took over Metalhead, they have disappeared from the forum, so I am not anticipating an official response.

I have this same crashing issue and have not been able to figure out a solution. AMD 2600X CPU with AMD 7600 GPU with the latest drivers and Windows 10 updates all current.

The solution is to change the following value in the Config.ini file, located at "Users/xx/Appdata/Local/Metalhead/Super Mega Baseball 4":
shadowres 4096
to
shadowres 2048
If that doesn't work, try a lower value
shadowres 1024
