How do you like LOVE2d overall?
getting the functionality you need from it requires either getting downloading third-party modules and getting acquainted with them (with no guarantee they'll be updated in the future), or having to write them yourself (which is what i did, barring a handful of libraries used by the game) - which means time spent working on the engine side of things could've been spent working on an actual game
only reason i still use it for games is because i have such a large codebase i'm very familiar with, that it'd be silly to switch to something else when i know how everything works and it does what i need it to do
