If you kill the Baker, you cannot access to your loadout anymore - you gotta make do with the weapons you find in the following levels, and you only have a pistol sitting at your hideout.

However, if you spare him instead, you will still have access to your loadout and continue choosing whatever weapon you want right before starting a level.

Killing the Baker: Custom loadouts disabled, you gotta do it OSP style (On-Site Procurement just like the earlier Metal Gear Solid games where you don't even get a gun)

Sparing the Baker: You can use custom loadouts still, which you'll need because the final levels are difficult.

Those are the only effects I've noticed. Oh, and the ending text is slightly different, too, once you beat the game.

the ending text doesn't depend on whether the Baker was spared or not, it depends on how many people (enemies are people too) you've killed throughout the game, excluding the characters that are killed during cutscenes without any choice for the player :)

Oh. Are there different tiers of ending text? (Ex. Kill nobody, kill only a few people, kill a bunch of people, kill literally everyone on each level)
