go back or wait until things move forward. or both in that order.
the next update might fix your problem. until a new update rolls around you can always install a older version of vroid, crossing your fingers that the bug wont pop up.
to install a older version of vroid just do this:
go to their website https://vroid.com/en/studio
pull up your browser search by pressing CTRL + F
search for "Past versions", press the button that the search brings you to
select any version from the list to download and install it
since you use a relatively new feature i suggest you stick to newer versions of vroid, versions 2.x should all come with the dress up feature.
when they looked for beta testers for this featuremy friend tested , it and then we didnt hear about it for almost a year and suddenly the feature got announced, released and complained about because its super half baked xD
(but i appreciate the effort they put into thinking of ways to make avatar customization easier. maybe one day it works as intended.)
