Trying to get into dress-up feature to export VRoid (crashes)

No matt how many times I try to get into the dress-up feature to export my character it always crashes. Is there a work around this or something? I'm trying to export the VRoid so I can use it with the VTuber Editor, but I need a specific file type, I can't just move the VRoid file into it.

i think this might be due to the feature till not being stable to use. i heard of export issues more frequently since this feature was added. they work on it with every update from what i can tell but if youre affected by a bug that keeps you from exporting you have 2 choices
go back or wait until things move forward. or both in that order.
the next update might fix your problem. until a new update rolls around you can always install a older version of vroid, crossing your fingers that the bug wont pop up.

to install a older version of vroid just do this:
go to their website https://vroid.com/en/studio
pull up your browser search by pressing CTRL + F
search for "Past versions", press the button that the search brings you to
select any version from the list to download and install it

since you use a relatively new feature i suggest you stick to newer versions of vroid, versions 2.x should all come with the dress up feature.

@KaitoSai Great suggestion, their build pipeline seems to be a mess, or nobody's checking it. "New" features, now often quite old, don't seem to have flags or tests to ensure they work before it's uploaded to Steam.

oh...the sad thing is this feature actually was beta tested over a year ago
when they looked for beta testers for this featuremy friend tested , it and then we didnt hear about it for almost a year and suddenly the feature got announced, released and complained about because its super half baked xD
(but i appreciate the effort they put into thinking of ways to make avatar customization easier. maybe one day it works as intended.)
