is it safe to use?
i hate having to ask this, but id rather be safe than sorry

safe as in is it safe to run on your computer? yes. safe as in can you legally use the models in various projects? yes. anything else and you are going to have to be a bit more specific on what you mean by "safe".

Like you said, better safe than sorry. It's safe to use your own models.
As for using someone else's on the hub, reffer to what they allow on the avatar page.

It's not safe if you are scared of someone finding out you playing with some naked anime chick tho.

set the outfit to body base, edit the skin texture, boom there ya go. If you don't want to do it yourself, you can get skin textures for free on booth

there is plenty of stuff on booth that is free, just may not be as good quality
