How do I play Bunker?
Compared to other characters, I don't really see why I would pick Bunker over someone else during a run.

Bunker's active skill not only have a slow charge time, it has low range, short stun duration as well and a long cooldown for what it does. The Ultimate skill is great but I wish there was a duration bar or some kind of indicator(if there is one ingame already, it is hard to see/notice). Also it takes a long time to build up. Can you cancel the Ultimate to end it early?

Her durability shines a bit early levels but wanes off later on. At best you take a few more hits before getting downed. She has above average WIT and the mod that make shoved enemies focus on her is very useful to protect turrets and Crystal Bot, it just gets you downed unless you have someone to babysit you.

The highlight of that mod is to get mobs to focus on you while you kite around the room with the turrets unloading on the mob but you take so much damage trying to go in shove range. Ideally you're suppose to shove things off Generators and other things you want to protect but the short range and animation recovery time puts you in so much danger.

I am aware there is a mod you can get during a run that makes all enemies within 10m target Bunker but that is just a worse version of the one you can slot in the salon since you have no control over it and it puts you in more danger.

Bunker's passive sounds decent on paper for her since she is the "tank/front liner" but it doesn't do much outside of her Ultimate and even during the Ultimate, the boost is hardly noticeable. I recall taunting a room full of bugs during the Ultimate with a shotgun flamethrower, grouping up all the enemies while being pushed back into a wall, soaking a ton of damage but it didn't add much to my damage output.

How am I suppose to play Bunker in her current iteration?

I have a few suggestion for her retool:
1. Have her active ability use her shield as a controllable frontal version of her Ultimate. Rather then a cooldown, have it on a block meter that regen over time while not in use. Or keep it on a cooldown if shield flashing is balance breaking.

2. Change her passive ability to reflect back %damage taken. During her Ultimate, make it so that Reflected %damage is doubled along and maybe with the old passive of increasing damage when taking damage or something along that line.

3. Give her shove a bit more range if possible. She is a robot, extended arms or a 360° spin shove kinda make sense for her playstyle.

Bunker is a little under power tbh or i am not playing her right. I feel like it is better if we go full offence then having a defend hero is better.

I have played her on co-op because I has little choice yet. First of all, I like going for the lvl up with 50 heal upon wave clearing. Since I now got a slot for her as well, I put that 20% def on it. With this, I seek the 10m taunt lvl up or the 3hp perma regen lvl up. The rest of the lvl ups, I seek to optimise her crit % and seek guns with aoe, hopefully.

My last run, we managed to reach the end and win (Then they told me we were on hard.) I never died, was at full hp most of the game and could tank ungodly amount of enemies with massive wave clear on my own. (I got up to 75% crit and 52%-ish def.)

I wasn't aware there was a passive hp regen we can pick up, that is a game changer assuming the regen is at a okay rate.

How and when do you use her active ability? Everything else is very good advice but at that point, why not pick another character with abilities that aren't situational?

Can you elaborate a bit more? I like Bunker character design(really love it when there is a playable robot character) and I want to get better at using her.

Use her first ability when you seek tp push and stun enemies that might overwhelm you. Like... A horde or flankers. As for her ult, it is the same, pretty much. Want to buy time for the team? Want to aggro 2 or 3 lines of enemies until the team comes and wipe them? The ultimate is the way to go. And the first skill got quite a nice cooldown as well. Probably around 15 seconds, give or take.

Bunker with the taunt by just being in the vicinity is extremely strong as you can just stand on top of the Crystal without your Ultimate in high pressure moments to make sure it takes no damage unless there is AOE.

Bunker without the taunt is extremely weak on offense as you'll be begging as to why you must trudge on with below average DPS and have all the toughness to do nothing with.

Also they changed her starting weapon from the machine pistol to the shotgun. I would say that absolutely is a deal breaker since the machine pistol is solid enough throughout the entire game. If you are using the taunt though then you don't really have to worry about damage output if you have turrets and allies.

Do you hold to charge or just quickly release the active ability? Do you run up to an enemy for a quick release or hold charge in preparation of their advancing?

Bunker is about delaying and distracting enemies, buying time and clearing space for other players and turrets to do their work. You're either running distraction and supporting something else in the room, or you're a roadblock delaying things until backup can arrive.

Prioritise electric and light weapons. They get stuns and slows as elemental effect and means your attacks will have some natural CC. Boosting crit chance will proc this more.

You can go all in on the taunt. Get chips that boost shoving and max health, and look out for "Justice Doesn't Flinch" when picking levelups (increasing defense based on missing health). With your abilities as well, you can hold a corridor on your own for a while, as allies finish up elsewhere before helping you mop up your chokepoint at end of wave.

Or go for Clever Girl with "Stunning Countermeasures" (+stun duration on ability) and sit in a turret room, dash about repairing them. She already has good Wit, so you give the turrets their buffs, keep them alive, and help CC enemies away from them.

The Law Prevails seams really solid. She has high health, so full heal on medkit use becomes quite powerful.

"Diagnostified!" (+hp/sec) is a must pick on level-up as it means you'll basically start every wave at full health. If you can get it alongside "Justice Doesn't Flinch" and the chips Nanoblood and Shield of Justice, you'll become quite hard to kill.

She's a hungry girl and wants lots of food. Make sure she's hitting level 5 MINIMUM before you reach the Core. Preferably higher.

Indeed, the wave 'light' gun that confuses is a must. My run also had an 'endless' grade shotgun as well.

Her best point with this light gun is that high crit makes confusing explosions, and since is crosses over all enemies, all those explosions hit all enemies... Or most.

I'll keep my eye out for Light weapons along with "Justice Doesn't Flinch" since those seem to be key things to have for what I want to do with Bunker. Taunting and running around is what I've been doing so far.

Main issue I have is when playing online with randoms, I don't get the chance to get character upgrade since someone else wants to spend the point before I can.

Ah, for that, try voice chat. People seems to understand more when you voice your situation and make them understand how it will help the team on the long run.
