Based on the game design I cannot even imagine how you imagine split screen is supposed to work.
No. I have to pop that bubble.
In general twin-stick shooters with shared screen and even split screen is nothing new and can work very well.
But this game's gamedesing simply does not support that. You cannot play and win with a shared screen setup. It is not like in Helldivers where it works natively.
Sometimes you have one player on the end of a map and another at the other end just to cover the front lines. You cannot play that with shared screen and split screen gives far too little room for tower defense planning.
Those are all great games, and without doubts they work splendid like that. But that is because you move as a group all the time.
Even in singleplayer of Endless Dungeon you end constantly with having your characters positioned all over the map. That makes shared screen impossible.
Split screen on the other hand is extremely difficult because of the screen space needed to make it a viable tower defense experience.
I think you could do that with a monitor large enough. But that would be just put two screens on one display be the end of the day, rather than a split screen like with Mario Kart.
