This game could use some pointers from Dungeon Defenders games
When you boil this game down to its core, its a tower defense game, with heroes / characters that can contribute to the Carnage. Essentially it is exactly the same style of game as Dungeon Defenders. However unlike Dungeon Defenders which has real progression, actual loot, multiple games modes and challenges, with heavily diverse maps with their own unique strategy, this game is a restrictive hero based tower defense game with little to no progression, and poor generic loot.

- Elemental Damage and weaknesses are negligible. Pure non elemental damage is good enough with no downsides, and playing into this system creates upsides, and often more downsides. Even worse is this system is rng gated as it is easy to not get a weapon or tower the enemies are weak against, or that has any aoe or fast enough attack speed to prevent a swarm from simply walking by.

- Where is the meta progression? A few generic upgrades on weapons and heroes doesn't cut it.

- Where is the strategy in tower placement. Towers can only be placed it set randomized locations in set room locations. So limiting, and often rendering a majority of towers useless, due to poor placement locations and poor range.

- Wheres the good loot? I should have the option to build into towers more, make them stronger, and improve the weaknesses of towers through gear found in my runs. The opposite should be true of my hero. Yes there are characters that do some of these things, but that is not the same. One is a progression path, and a reason to keep playing the way you want, while the other is preset with 0 control besides the few upgrades you can get mid run.

- Wheres the game modes? Just story mode? There could be endless survival, just defense, mobile defense with crystal bot moving to set locations on rotation, hero defense, with crystal bot following a character, boss rush, and so on.

- No multiplayer lobby browser ?

Dungeon Defenders has all of these across all their games and more. While I personally think the 1st game is the best of all of them, they all still sell better than any game in this series. I am all for trying to do your own thing. The resource mechanic with opening doors is a unique mechanic. However it is also a good idea to stick with what works, proven so, and trying to do your own iteration of that.

The state of the game currently is early access quality. Like it or not there are far better games than this for as low as a fraction of the price, or even free.

If there are no intentions to make this a really good game, and instead its just a cash grab to waste the name and IP, then that is fine I guess. Compared to the iterations of this game I've played previously it shows that there is no clear vision of what this game is and should be. Often in that case the best back up plan is to simply look at feedback and make what people are asking for. Subnautica did this and changed their genre and vision entirely. Clearly it paid off, and for many others it works too.

I hope the game improves a lot. It was already disappointing to see the release date get pushed back months only days before its original release, and I'm just wondering what happened there.

The problem with your suggestions is that I have no desire to play Dungeon Defenders but I love Endless Dungeon. Also, if I did want to play Dungeon Defenders, then I could just play that and not Endless Dungeon. As such turning Endless Dungeon into Dungeon Defenders benefits no one as Dungeon Defenders player will just prefer that and Endless Dungeon would be no different and the players that like ED wouldn't have a game to play.

If you like Dungeon Defenders but don't like Endless Dungeon, why not play Dungeon Defenders rather than moan that Endless Dungeon isn't Dungeon Defenders?

You haven't really contributed to the conversation, or made a good point, just in general. All you have stated is you enjoy garbage, you are happy to be fed garbage, and you don't care how much money you waste in order to consume garbage.

No 1 said make the game like Dungeon Defenders. All i suggested it take some pointers from them. Like it or not, far more people enjoy Dungeon Defenders, the free to play ones, and the paid ones. The reviews show that, and the sales show that. You know what the reviews say about this game>? That is it garbage watered down trash, a complete dumbed down downgrade of its predecessor and a mockery to the genre. This game does nothing well. Its only unique touch is how resources are gained. Big deal.

The game is so poor that you can just level up 2 towers to level 3 regardless of elemental damage type, and use a knockback weapon on all characters, and cruise your way to the core with 0 risk. Such a joke. No strategy, no progression, poor multiplayer experience, just horrible all around game experience. God forbid someone who actually played Dungeon of The Endless and then buys this. As expected they are all sorely disappointed.

I agree that the game is very bare right now. But that does not mean that it must be exactly like other games. However if you are using other games as examples of content amount and variation then yes you do have a point.
I know we will get more content down the line I just want it to be unique content not a paste and copy from other games.
