At least you are straightforward honest with calling that a bad review.
Regarding elemental weapons not doing their job... it depends on saloon upgrades and your build. I also saw IGN having problem opposite to yours where they said having right elemental weapon is making too much of difference. When it comes to turrets I would say that they are all equall. Turrets which just shoot are surely easier to use but ones which produce damaging area around them can be as good or better if layout lets you to place them right. Overally I dont want to be @sshole but please give this game some more time and try to understand it better.
The economy is right on spot. You are not supposed to upgrade everything in a single run. Management is also key. The only problem is that there aren't much gain from it other than challenge. I personally go sector 1 without any towers, sector 2 with maybe 5 and when reaching the core I got like 400-700 for the towers depending on difficulty.
Also crit plays a huge role for the elemental weapons as they do aoe AND their elemental effects.
Also let me tell you somethign else, if the game is that great, why the reviews go so bad on the frist week?
maybe you like the game casue u are a fanboy, and not cause a good game.
I say i dont like it, and the reasons why, anyone that get offended jsut has proove my point. bye
I am Level 37 and have no idea how.
Do you not play the games or something?
Just curious.
You go to store page, and there's a little "write a review" button when you played for at least 15 minutes.
Also, when you speak in platitudes all we can do if we have a different opinion is assume you are wrong, because you don't offer a single thing we can validate.
Actually you were onto something with weapons, but I didn't quite get the problem. I often take elemental weapons for punchthrough alone, because lots of damage o a single target is only good on a boss, while ~80% of the game is normal monster.
Try again, but this time include the obserable facts that back your opinion up.
I bought it not knowing exactly what it was, that's on me. I thought it was a co-op bullet hell or arena type game and it turned out to be a tower defense game with escort missions. I can say that the combination is not really grabbing my interest.
If I have to ask why it's not grabbing my interest then I would say it feels like a chore to play. The weapons you get from chest are temporary and often sideways upgrades or situational at best and more often than not weaker than the starting weapon. The character upgrades seem limited in number and often very minor. I got to the first boss and it was like throwing cotton balls at a car all the while defending the crystal.... I just didn't get it. I didn't leave the fight thinking it was a fun encounter or that my character was going to some how find a weapon or skill that would make a difference. I'm sure it can be done with trial and error, but trial and error without any fun seems.... well boring and like a chore.
If I had beaten the boss the reward is what... another level of tower defense without resources to build towers and running between opening doors and the crystal? I haven't given up on the game, hoping maybe something changes. Such as the game unlocking something useful or a new mechanic that could be fun but I'm about 90% done with it.
Just not my brand of tea I guess.
Steam cloud is listed as a feature on store page.
How curious.
There is cloud storage, though. Just no Steam Cloud support.
