[RESOLVED] How do you get Chunks Medallions?

From what I’ve read in guides and videos, you get Chunks Medallions by knocking him unconscious in X Must Die difficulty. But I also heard that you get them from knocking him unconscious in normal difficulty.

I knocked out chunks in all difficulties and I have 0 chunk medallions.

Have I been misinformed?

Unless things have changed recently you can get Chunks Medallions on any difficulty. You usually get 1 to 2 per run from knocking Chunks out on each floor(2 only if you you're lucky in my exp). You should automatically get 1 the 1st time you knock Chunks out in any run. Then, at the end of completed run you get more Chunks Medallions based on the difficulty you were on. I did Nightmare runs to get all my CM so I received 4 CM at the end of my runs, normally making for 5 CM acquired per run. hope that helps.

I appreciate the feedback. But I’ve beat the game on all difficulties but X Must Die and knocked out chunks multiple times already, yet I have 0 medallions.

Perhaps some things have changed or my game is bugged.

I can recall without a doubt, when doing the Nightmare Cop achievement I never picked up a heart and I didn’t get the achievement. I did get it later on and maybe I did pick up a heart and didn’t notice, but I am certain I didn’t pick up a heart. Moreover, there was no health replenishing items I used besides ambrosia or health upgrades.

You need to get the true ending atleast once before you can start getting Chunks Medallions, after that you need to grind atleast 83 total Medallions for all achivements requirering them (probably 92 once the next update hits), after unlocking the Medallions, Jules is by far the best character to farm them, but you can slightly exploit the save system that saves after completing a floor

Step 1: pick Jules with probably Nightmare working best to make Chunks spawn faster and still get decent money
Step 2: clear the first floor, trying get as strong as possible, preferably getting all strength upgrades in from the doctors office
Step 3: kill Chunks on the next floor for a Medallion and then quit the run

Now comes the kicker in the whole plan, usually youre only supposed to get one Medallion from Chunks per run, but quiting and going back into the run makes you able to get another from him, and this is infinitely repeatable, and trust me...investing the time to get stronger on the first floor and then farming him on the second floor dramatically cuts down on the grinding time instead of constantly re-doing floor 1

It depends on how much you need to farm, if its about smaller amounts then just doing constant restarts is faster, but the more medals you need to farm the more time you save by being stronger and killing Chunks faster, and if you intend to kill Chunks about 90 times back to back, you will be greatful for seeing him die quicker

I'll be sure to try it out, though. I'm gonna need some more medallions with the next character coming soon.
