wait, she has a dash? i wasnt aware of this wth
There's definitely some enemies that are obnoxious for her to deal with, but if you're struggling with her, you might want to try using her dash attack more. Sometimes a LOT more; she's just invincible during it and seemingly for a brief period afterwards, and can zoom at something repeatedly off of one jump if you just hold down both attack buttons. I seem to remember it having goofy interactions with things like the spiked bracelet and boots, but I didn't get either of them in my last couple runs to see if that was the case. But for a lot of midair bosses and such you can just kind of hold jump and attack on them and maul them without ever taking damage
Porcupine needle was probably the best item I got besides ancient tome because 2x damage as Fuji is huge.
Honestly the difficulty surrounding the challenge was all about how you would do in a Dream run with no looping or extra floors as Fuji. While losing the treasure chests stink, you do start out with some okay items that I think make up the difference.
♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ Quadruple-X Floor size along with the sheer tankyness of the enemies like they're from the final floors alongside the ineffectiveness of the items has me to a point I will not do a run unless 1 and/or 2 of the 4 doors in the starting room are the boss room and/or key room. Tired of having to waste minutes running around rooms with the katana and floating head enemy just so the doors auto-open.
This one was just beyound stupid.
No matter how hard I tried to find the shop and item and weapon rooms, I kept failing, because you can't be aggressive 'cause of the ammo count, but you need to be aggressive 'cause the money is ticking down and you can't get if from pots 'cause the ammo count, but if you get too aggressive you either run your health into the ground or run out of ammo - and you absolutely will run out of ammo 'cause this particular floor is made of enemies that prolong fights and waste your ammo, what the actual ♥♥♥♥?!
But then I had a lucky spawn with doors to both boss room and key room right at the start.
The boss can be easily beat with the diamond gun, sprites drop plenty of ammo boxes and hearts, just don't rush, keep your distance, watch the ammo counter early fight so you can see when to concentrate on the boss or the sprites and DO NOT RUSH, I know how annoying it's been for you, but this much luck happens once in a blue moon, you do not want to screw this up.
I ended the "challenge" with full health and over five hundred ammo, the "challenge" here being to get lucky enough to get to the boss right away, 'cause every room is slowly killing you one way or another - or the third way!
The only upside is - I don't need to do that again.
