What is/was for you the hardest of the new challenges?
For me right now is Fuji's "Bulking Up", makes me feel that the new levels aren't optimized for Fuji ( something i started to think while completing the awakening route ) and she already felt like the worst playable character in the game to me; either because i think her hitbox is a mess in both ways or the enemies of the new levels are too projectile-based and move too much around for her or both.

I will admit, Fuji is probably my least favorite of the characters to play because of her hitbox, attacks and especially the dash that she has that you'd never use (or at least I never did) because it risks jumping into a projectile to can't figure where it is because of the stupid isometric view. That being said, none of the challenges were actually hard for me. I saw them as normal runs with small stipulations to make them a "challenge." I feel this game has a knack for being too easy, yet unfair at the same time. I literally play only on 'X must die' because the other difficulties make the game too easy.

Same for me with Bulking Up. The fact that you can't enter the alt floors nor loop for extra items, as well as 0 treasure rooms (even on the Balcony floor) makes it near impossible. The dream route Jeff challenge was also hard, but at least his weapon isn't as bad. All of my attempts have ended on OKO (sheep boss), he has a ridiculously high amount of health.

I haven't done bulking up yet but man does that sound awful. For me so far it was triple digits, dps is as high as you can click.

Just finished up with Bulking Up. Didn't feel like I had particularly good or bad item luck outside of getting the "max HP on destroying full ammo weapon" drop which did give me a lot of breathing room to play badly in the mindscape.

There's definitely some enemies that are obnoxious for her to deal with, but if you're struggling with her, you might want to try using her dash attack more. Sometimes a LOT more; she's just invincible during it and seemingly for a brief period afterwards, and can zoom at something repeatedly off of one jump if you just hold down both attack buttons. I seem to remember it having goofy interactions with things like the spiked bracelet and boots, but I didn't get either of them in my last couple runs to see if that was the case. But for a lot of midair bosses and such you can just kind of hold jump and attack on them and maul them without ever taking damage

Just did the bulking up challenge and honestly it wasn't that hard. Normal level difficulty (knocking out Chunks is no big deal), cleared completely all non-dream floors, and got some decent item luck.

Porcupine needle was probably the best item I got besides ancient tome because 2x damage as Fuji is huge.

Honestly the difficulty surrounding the challenge was all about how you would do in a Dream run with no looping or extra floors as Fuji. While losing the treasure chests stink, you do start out with some okay items that I think make up the difference.

♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ Quadruple-X Floor size along with the sheer tankyness of the enemies like they're from the final floors alongside the ineffectiveness of the items has me to a point I will not do a run unless 1 and/or 2 of the 4 doors in the starting room are the boss room and/or key room. Tired of having to waste minutes running around rooms with the katana and floating head enemy just so the doors auto-open.

That ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ challenge made me take a week long break from the game and I still havent tried the challenge again...I think I would rather do Glutton For Punishment runs with every single character before touching that horrible RNG hell again

literally any of the ones that required you to do the shrine; it's only 1 floor, but the enemies are so annoying. especially the jetpack mumba one. i kept dying because i couldnt really figure out how to work the jetpack, and i ended up just using a different weapon to defeat the boss, lol

This one was just beyound stupid.
No matter how hard I tried to find the shop and item and weapon rooms, I kept failing, because you can't be aggressive 'cause of the ammo count, but you need to be aggressive 'cause the money is ticking down and you can't get if from pots 'cause the ammo count, but if you get too aggressive you either run your health into the ground or run out of ammo - and you absolutely will run out of ammo 'cause this particular floor is made of enemies that prolong fights and waste your ammo, what the actual ♥♥♥♥?!

But then I had a lucky spawn with doors to both boss room and key room right at the start.
The boss can be easily beat with the diamond gun, sprites drop plenty of ammo boxes and hearts, just don't rush, keep your distance, watch the ammo counter early fight so you can see when to concentrate on the boss or the sprites and DO NOT RUSH, I know how annoying it's been for you, but this much luck happens once in a blue moon, you do not want to screw this up.
I ended the "challenge" with full health and over five hundred ammo, the "challenge" here being to get lucky enough to get to the boss right away, 'cause every room is slowly killing you one way or another - or the third way!

The only upside is - I don't need to do that again.
