I've been trying to get through that part for hours but I'm not skilled enough to do it without taking any damage lol
Mean, but accurate lol
I think we need a box in the 4th medallion room.
Even worse all the new achievements tied to this mode mean to 100% the game again I need to do more attempts which seems like a slog rather than a challenge (unlike Axel and any one hp runs which were actually fun and kinda what I signed up for when buying the game).
Also I kinda feel like Anya's addition adds very little lore wise besides the diary entries and the ending/endings are tonely a miss (I get the joke of it, but is a bit too tongue in cheek even for me).
My mind may change with the challenges for the main cast(despite the bugs and complaints there) but so far the update has actually killed the love I had for the game.
I really want a kinda "creative mode" where you choose the character and starting weapon/s. It'd be awesome to run through as Axel with a chainsaw and double barrel.
Meaning most first-time players will have items in their inventory that will not help them with the chase scene. And even if you know about the chase trigger, that still means making the winter medallion avaible, then backtrack to an item box and prepare for the chase before getting the winter medallion. It's terrible level design.
Not really. Parts of the chase have enemies blocking your way, and without the boots you need to rely on RNG to hope they don't chase you, or they don't block the path, while there are low obstacle that really seems there to be jumped over. I really doubt they wanted an huge random difficulty spike at the end.
Furthermore, they give you an health potion, but in 99% of cases you cannot take it, which is another thing really off about this part.. it's just there to mock you or something?
Anyway, I can also see why they didn't put the box here, at the end of the chase you need to put the medals on the door, so not having them might softlock you at the end.
Still... pretty stupid part.
